Do you think that if given the choice and opportunity to a Scooby member to quit the Slayer club - all the evil fighting, vampires, danger, death... they would do it, and which character would it be?

And the other way around, who do you think, a non scooby member, if given the chance and opportunity to join the Slayer core, would go for it, risk their lives, work hard to help save the world?

I don't think a Scooby member would ever leave unless they had to, I think the sheer loyalty involved in being part of the group kind of trumps everything else. Obviously there are exceptions, especially if they were in the gang by default due to being in a relationship with one of the original Scoobies, but otherwise I don't think they would.

I agree.
Once someone is a "Scooby" I don't see them leaving voluntarily short of Death.
I would have to say, as seen in "The Wish" that there would be a couple of natural additions to the "White Hat's" or Scooby's if you prefer....
1) Larry (big and hit's like a Stevedore...whatever that is?)
2) Nancy (she's a straight forward kinda Gal...like Faith without the
superpowers or psychosis)
3) Jonathan (the guy is totally mis-understood and REALLY wants to
belong to something.)
I'll add more as I think of them!😀

Larry would have been great for comedy value!

Larry karma! I totally think the Scoobies needed a gay football player!

love Jonathan. Would have loved to see more of him!
As far as people joining the Scoobies I always loved it when Andrew helped them out in Season 7, particularly when him and Spike went on that trip on the motorcycle. I'd have also loved Clem to be a fully fledged member, that would have been cool, kind of like the 'Lorne' of the group.

Yes, but Andrew was SOO annoying most of the time!
Lorne with all that extra skin...*shudder*😀

"It's a flower AND an Onion...genius."
Yeah, gotta say, I like Andrew in the mix!

I always wanted a jock to join the Scoobies: Larry, Parker, or Gage. Because I think it would've been funny to watch them constantly bested by Buffy in every episode. But they still want to help. And funny as a Xander foil.

buffyprops agrees: Should have been a Jock in the mix...but we have to be careful here...The show might have ended up looking like "21 Jump-Street"

LOL, no that would NOT have been good. But I don't think Buffy would've allowed it.

IMO I would rather be with the scoobies than not. I say this because you see how bad their world is but at least they have some idea what is going on. The non members know weird stuff happens but don't really see it until sometimes they are the victims.
Looking at it that way I would join with the scoobies if I wasn't. I look at it that way for leaving as well.

In all honesty I don't think any of the scoobies would have much trouble having a normal life instead of a demon fighting one. Did Buffy want to be the slayer, risking her lfe? At some point she just accepted it. I don't think it (to leave) crossed the scoobies minds for very long. They're way too loyal for that.
Not meaning what we might find out in the comics. 😉

Total agreement. Just as with Andrew. But not because of the demon fighting thing but just to belong somewhere.

I like the Clem idea as well though, he'd have to grow more of a back bone (which may have been one of his demon abilities!)

But some otherkind of demon in the mix, fighting along side the good guy's...?

Well, Anya sort of filled the demon quota I guess!

I wonder if thats true. Could they live normal lives? I think you're right. I could see each one of them doing that...but only if Buffy didn't have to fight anymore. And secretly after a while they'd get really bored and want to kick some evil ass, don't ya think?!

As far as who could join the scoobies I could totally see Lorne kickin it. I love Lorne! He could get down....and be cool doin it! Plus, he's a demon and as we all saw on Angel he knew a lot about the demon worlds. And he was hilarious!
