When a quote is added to a post, how come the person who is posting the quote can add to it?
A quote should be what was said/written.

When a quote is added to a post, how come the person who is posting the quote can add to it?
A quote should be what was said/written.

When you use the quote function it automatically pulls all the text from the post your quoting. People can change the the text because it puts it into a text box, plus it allows you to cut out bits you don't want, like if you have a big long post and you only wanna respond to part of it, you can delete the rest so as the person you've quoted knows what bit you've responded to.

But when you use the quote feature, it also puts a link to the original quote, (the little blue box beside your user name above, which will bring me back to the original, encase for some reason I did want to check the original.
