Aaron Spelling: 1923-2006

I read this news late yesterday. He passed away at the age of 83. It's big news in entertainment (even if you're not a fan of his work) as he has been around for a long, long time and was responsible for producing a boatload of TV shows over those same years. Certainly, there is a lot to discuss on his body of work and what, if any, impact it has on entertainment.

I agree with everyone that said it's weird...I didn't think he was that old...

I was really saddened when I heard that he died. I mean, I'm a huge fan of both Charmed and 7th Heaven. It was a total shock and I'm definitely going to mourn his genius.

Thanks for your condolences. Yes, I'm also a Charmed fan. I also watched 90210 and Melrose Place back in the day.
Of course his company is gonna carry on. Its one of the biggest in American TV.
Personally, i've not really enjoyed his TV shows much. I didn't know him as a person and i've got one or two issues with certain habits he had.
