I was sad to see on the news this morning that Christopher Reeve died over the weekend. To me and many others of my generation Chris was the definitive Superman.

I did believe a man could fly...

I heard this morning as well, its quite sad. My condolences to his family.
First Ken Caminiti and now this. This has been the worst ****ing day. And I mean that seriously, not being sarcastic. RIP.

Yeah, this is horrible. I had been looking forward to scientific breakthroughs so we would get to see him move again. But now...

Rest in peace, Christopher.

I too had just read the news this morning and I am in shock. I was hoping that scientists would find something more with the stem cell research that would enable spinal cord injuries to be reversed. Christopher Reeve will always be Superman to me , not just because of his role but for his ability to maintain a positive outlook that he would be able to walk again and to find so much good in the world. His faith and strength to overcome such a tradgedy and not give up showed true character. Rest In Peace, Christopher Reeve.

I just read it on AOL. I wasn't a big fan of his work; I just saw him on Smallville for those two episodes. But still, it's sad when anyone dies.

He was such an inspiration for those like himself, giving others hope.

Really makes you think.

Its unbelievable to think that such an icon could pass away. My condolences to his family also.

I think it would be extremely honoring if they were to give him a special tribute or message on Smallville. I'll be looking out.

I would also like to pay my respects to Christopher Reeve. A great actor, he was an inspiration and role model to all.
It's such a shame that he didnt live long enough to see the benefits of Stem Cell Research
Bye, We'll miss ya'

I, like everyone else, would also like to wish my condolences to his family. Christopher Reeve was an awesome actor and an extremely inspirationsal person who never gave up. With any hope, there are people out there who will carry on his activism and will help to push the pros of stem cell research. With hope, maybe other's like Christopher will have the chance to walk again after paralysis.

Rest In Peace, Christopher Reeve.

I didn't actually grow up with him, as most of you may have, but I truly was inspired about how strong he was, and how he really was "the man of steel". He truly was Superman.

RIP Christopher Reeves

{oh, and also, RIP Rodney Dangerfield. One of the best...}

I actually took the news pretty hard, he was kind of the hope for all quads. My uncle is a quad, on a vent, Reeve was his hope for the future. Very sad, his caregivers should have noticed an infected bed-sore. Tragic.

SUPERMAN DIED!?!?! Damn Lex... HE KILLED SUPERMAN! :tongue05: ::eyes1::

Yeah... I heard that from my mom yesterday. That's ****ty, being in a accident and being crippled than dying a while later. That's extremely ****ty. He's "back-in-the-day" Superman movies were pretty good. And they seem to be showing a lot now...

BYE BYE SUPERMAN GUY! 🙁

I heard about this yesterday morning... woke me right up. It's really a shame. But think about how long the man has been paralized for... not many people last as long. He was strong. Stronger than Superman. RIP.

Rest In Peace Christopher Reeve. Truely sad to see him go. Kinda scarey that your life can change in the few seconds it takes to fall from a horse. Even scarier to all of us who ride. One small mistake can cost you. But even after, he lived his life to the fullest he could. He really was an inspiration. RIP.

I think to all of us he will remain Superman, even if he only took the role out of respect for his father (the difinitive TV Superman).

Even in his often overlooked non-Superman roles, though, he wa absolutely amazing. Somewhere in Time was just amazing.

Rest in Peace, Chris, we will miss you dearly.

i think it's so sad he is gone... a man many people had heard about, seen and he impacted lifes in different ways... with his movies and his story.. such a shame.. R.I.P
