Davy Jones, famously of the Monkees passed away today, of a heart attack. I don't know how many of you are big Monkees fans, but I love them.

​Davy Jones, lead singer of '60s pop sensations and television band The Monkees has died at the age of 66 in his hometown of Indiantown, Florida, according to the Martin County medical examiner's office. He suffered a heart attack.

Didn't know who he was. At first I thought it was the dude who played Davy Jones in PotC: Dead mans Chest till I opened this tread. Told my mother though and she was sad. She said she met him a few times.

I grew up watching "The Monkees".....and "Girl" was my favorite Davey Jones song. RIP, young man.
