Maureen O'Hara RIP
The actor Maureen O’Hara, famed for her flaming red hair and her role in The Quiet Man, has died aged 95.

A truly beautiful lady, both in body and spirit. The world is richer by her presence, and poorer for her absence.

I absolutely adore The Hunchback of Notre Dame from 1939. I seen this version as a kid before the Disney version. O'Hara was stunning as Esmeralda (even in black and white without being able to show off that amazing red hair!). Also loved her as the mom in the original Parent Trap movie (I loved Hayley Mills' films as a kid). The look of the actresses from that era is incomparable to these days in my eyes. True beauty.

Little bit of trivia, here. Maurene O'Hara and Lucille Ball had something in common. Their flaming red hair came from Lady Clairol. Both women were natural brunettes ( just like Sarah, come to think of it)
