I cried so hard when Tara died and Willow couldn't bring her back. I was on her side all the way to the end. I loved Tara and it was painful to watch Amber Benson be snatched away from the show by a stray bullet. This is a thread in memory of Tara: a powerful witch, a lover, a fighter, and never compromised her beliefs. And the best singer in the buffyverse!

IMO Giles is the best singer in the buffyverse followed closley by Spike. I actually don't like Tara.
Loved Tara, one of my favorite moments is when she starts crying in family. Absolutely loved that ep. Amber benson was one of my fav non-scooby charecters and when she died and was just like "your shirt" gone, bawling on the floor.

To disagree I think Giles is the best singer in the buffy verse but Tara is a close second.

In my humble opinion, I think it is a tie between Giles, Tara, and Spike for best singers in the Buffyverse.

Anyways, . I was in tears for like an hour when Tara died. I was pissed off at Warren, which kept the tears coming, and felt really really bad for Willow.

I agree, Tara is the best singer, she has a great voice
I didn't love Tara the first time around but I still liked her but now she's one of my favourites. I was in shock, well almost, when she got shot. Still the scene I hate the most. So much that I have a tendency to forget what happens between Spike and Buffy in the same episode. All concentration goes to the last scene. The beginning of the episode is one of my all time favourites with Dawn's reaction and the end the worst possible. A very emotionell episode in many ways for sure.

Tara was a great character. I would say that she's the one I could relate to the most in BtVS even though I'm not a lesbian woman....

I think I was mostly in disbelief when she got shot.
The whole setup was so cruel. I was so glad to finally see some happiness in season 6. Was almost has happy as Dawn was 🙂
Then it lasted for like 15 minutes. I could hardly believe it when I saw the blood on Willow's shirt.
It was brilliant but extremely cruel...

I think the saddest about her dead was Willow's reaction. And when she said: "You're shirt.." and fells on the ground. Tara wasn't really one of my favourite characters, but she was a great one

I do not like guns. Tara was so important to Willow. She was kind, sweet, thoughtful and good. She didn't deserve to die that way. Warren deserved to be skinned alive. Willow almost destroyed the world because of him.

He did deserve it!!!
Tara was one of my favourite character, i cried when she dies too, all the time i was thinking why did they have to kill her off why not someone else 🙁

I am and have always been a Wozshipper, but I was so shocked and devestated at the way Tara was killed. It was SO bad. And I agree with charmingslayer: I got more emotional at Dawn sitting in the room with her body 'cause she didn't want to leave her alone. Awwww.... 🙁

Totally agree
Tara being my second favourite character I was in utter shock when she died. Seriously, the first time I watched it; I couldn't cry, I just sat my jaw dropped, I knew she died; but I didn't expect it to be like that. I had to sit and watch it again then I was just in floods of tears. I still cry now; honestly, it's such an emotional scene.

It is, I cried even more when Dawn was in the room with her. It was so sad and emotional. Alyson and Michelle are great actresses to show that kind of pain on screen.

Yes they are. :D
Oh dear. That's not the point that Whedon was trying to make.

What was the point? That guns are bad?
What a horrible way for Tara to go. But that's what made it such a good peice of television....an unexpected and totally random way for a great character to go...and to set the tone for the AWESOMENESS of Dark Willow!!

I love Tara.
The way she is is a lot I can relate to how I used to be in my teen years.
My fave Tara quote is :
"A muscle cramp in your pants?"
Spike: "Yeah, it's a thing"
LoL
That made me roll over the floor laughing.
I was they had shown even more layer in her character in the show. There's so much potential in her

I laughed at that too. "How's that muscle cramp, Spike? Still hurt?"
What really broke my heart about that epsiode was how excited and happy Dawn was to have Tara back with Willow and to be back in the house,(see Rainbowimagine's avatar)then to have Tara taken away like that. Not to take away from Willow's loss, but it seems that Dawn's life at times was one long string of loss and disapointment. Dawn definently had her annoying bratty moments, but sometimes it seemed no one really took the time to try to understand whatever problem she was having at the time.
