R.I.P. Tara

I heard rumors that Joss planned to bring Tara back at the end of BTVS S7 but Benson was unavalible for fliming

I believe he wanted her to do the part Cassie does in "Conversations with dead people" The First talking to Willow in the library.

But Benson said no because she felt it would cheapen Tara or the Tara/Willow relationship. (or maybe she was unavailable I'm not a 100 % sure 🙂)

Tara's death was one of the saddest, yet angering moments in tv that i've witnessed. I was in shock for a good while. I hate how she died too. It couldn't have been some mystical evil a-brewin'?no. had to be a gunshot. -_- I hated Warren to begin with, after that, i just wished anything bad to happen to him, which to my relief go willow! and i know it's a real life thingy but did anyone else get upset when Amber and Adam became a couple? I'm just like "hello! he killed you!!!" but i digress...I do agree that the first 15 minutes of the ep. was so sweet, the way they were reconciled and Dawn's reaction. that didn't last very long now did it? 🙁

In addition to that, there's the whole 'Buffy gets a wish idea' that Joss wanted to do. But, Amber was unavailable for that as well.

There were actually some books that dragged out the pain Willow was in. Very well written, but it took me a long time to get through them because it was so depressing to read... Tara came back as a ghost and haunted Willow wearing that blue top, blood stains and everything. The books lead you to believe that Willow's found another way to bring back Tara. But it all ends the same way, with Xander and everything. That was angering.

I cried when Tara died. And I cheered to high Heaven when Warren died. He deserved exactly what he got and it was rectifying to see someone FINALLY get what they really deserve on TV.

The Wicked Willow trilogy, I still have copies of them somewhere.
I know exactly where I have mine. It took me so long to read them! I usually speed read, but in the middle of book 2 I realized the books were making me so depressed I had to stop reading...

Tara's death really surprised me, but the fact that her (and others) grave got pulled into the hellmouth upset me too. Now they've completely gone grave and all.

I found out about Tara dying before I saw Seeing Red, and I can't imagine what it must of been like to watch that episode not knowing how it would end... I love Tara..

And I don't like Willow's reaction so much, she should of spent a little less time trying to kill people and little more time trying to find a way to get Tara back. I don't think that it's ever completely impossible to resurrect someone on Btvs, if Willow would just try she should be able to do it, especially now that she's like the most powerful witch there is.. It doesn't make sense to me, she went above and beyond to get Buffy back but just gave up on Tara...

You really should read the Wicked Willow trilogies. They'd be what you were looking for.
True. She didn't cover all options. Maybe she was more mad than sad about Tara's death during that time.

We know that the urn was broken and there wasn't another one. So after Willow summoned... what was it...? -to bring Tara back and it said it's impossible because it was natural death, Willow didn't see the point. It was over for her, that was it. So all she could do now was revenge. I guess she thought/knew (take a pick) that there was no way to bring her back. With all of her knowledge, I guess she knows "What she's talking about", and knew there was no way.

Thing is, I don't feel like that was a natural human death. I agree with Willow, what's natural about it? A piece of man-made metal was shot through some contraption that made her be dead. That's not like a heart attack. It wasn't natural. It was something beyond her power to control or ever even forsee.

Sidenote, why don't we see anyone talking to her family? Are they just shunned now?

🙁 .. I had never thought of that!

I was really upset and surprised. I was very spoiler-free, and had no idea what was going to happen. But then I was so into Willow character's development (which I liked btw), that I really didn't have much time to think about it and realize she was really gone..
The saddest moment for me was in The Killer in Me: I let her be dead, she's really dead and I killed her.. That line killed ME ..

RIP Tara

I was real shocked when it happened.:/ I was like "OHH NO!!" It made me pretty sad. I didn't expect both Buffy & Tara to be shot in that episode.
