This is a thread for everyone to post those random Buffy moments that just make life grand!

I had one today! I was at work and a coworker was talking about life on Mars. He was about to get in trouble with the manager because he wasn't doing what he was told to do, so I said: "Go clean the bathrooms. At least they smell otherworldly..."

How great was that! I didn't even mean to quote Anya! Lol!

Your turn!!

Ok well a little while ago I had a work training session which was incredibly dull, the lady that was doing the training had a bad habit of saying "Ladies, gentleman" and I had to keep fighting the urge to add "Spiny headed looking creatures, welcome to SlayerFest 98!". I have a few that are similar but I think this one proves that even the most mundane words are slightly different to a Buffy fan!

Yep. The most boring plain of expressions to others are clay to be moulded in our eyes!

LOL any buffy moment you can quote makes the day better
A co-worker caught me doodling during a meeting once... and of course I had to say (willow reference!) "It's a doodle, I do doodle. You do, too, you do doodle too." 😀

You lucky sod, I've been waiting to say that for years. hehe
My Mother has gotten herself a date for this weekend, though she's apparently been 'seeing' the guy a while. I only found out due to the fact I called her yesterday and he answered the phone. When she came to the phone and she explained who he was I said simply 'I don't like him' since this is a time honored tradition since teendom over any of her potential dates. She then went on to say he was lovely and had just brought homemade cookies which saved her having to make/buy herself any and that they tasted great (Well, she didn't say that but the fact she was munching on one as she spoke was kind of a giveaway). I couldn't help asking her 'They're not drugged are they?'. Mom, being a Buffy fan herself, replied with a sigh 'Very funny. He is not a homicidal robot'. Of course, this was the time he walked back into the kitchen where she was on the phone. She called me back later on saying she had to explain how we weren't paranoidly weird. Whoops....

And the jury's still out on the homicidal robot thing.

So, not exactly the use of a Buffy quote but a reference nonetheless. Haha.

That's a good one! I'm glad someone else's mother daughter relationship is overflowing with pop culture references!

Don't count it out, you can never know for sure... those homicidal robots are mighty tricky...

And remember, watch out for the little details, such as your mom's hairdo changing. ;-)
My silly mobile phone gets called a "stupid plastic piece of crap" all the time when it is thrown across the room 😛

One of my mates kept talking to me about things that I didn't want to know about so I just turned round to her and said " Your mouth is moving and sound is coming out, this is never good." As a result I ended up with a bruise on my arm.

I've lost count the amount of times I told people they have 'But face' or 'Something face'.

I referenced my friend's mobile number as 1800 I'm-Dating-a-Skanky-Ho....(well he was!!!)

My Mother often says the 'You have but face' to people. Their expressions are classic.
I found a cup in my sister's room the other day, and couldn't help but say to her the line Buffy says to Dawn about naming them. Of course, that line has completely gone out of my head now I'm trying to remember it!

LOVE your banner!
My sister was telling everyone about a dream she had that was a bit disturbing (says a lot about her😉), a few people were looking at her funny and I had to say 'Sometimes you shouldn't say words'.

I ALWAYS make references...so much that my family and friends don't even question it when I say something completely random that they don't get lol.

I think the latest one was yesterday when me and my friends were sat in the park and a really hot guy walked past. They all made the usual kinda comments and I said "Hello salty goodness"

On the way home home from holiday it was really boring so my aunt suddenly came out with "Bored now"

yup i've done this one but it was to my sister and i got punched in the face, no sence of humour

1. I've told my sister, "What is your childhood trauma?" before. Of course, she didn't get it though... She's 12... She's like, "What? Childhood trauma?"
2. I remember watching the (S1, S2, or S3?) episode where Cordy says something mean to to Xander and he's like, "Oo, you slash me with your words!" And I waited for the LONGEST time for the perfect time to say it. Finally I see my friend (that's a girl, and without even thinking about Buffy) and I say, "Hey loser". She replies, "Good one turdface." So, I then repeat Xander's quote and it was HILARIOUS!!! Even she was laughing, and she doesn't even watch Buffy.
3. My friend (that's not a girl) asks me whether I'd be a vampire or a werewolf. I think about it for a while and say, "Hmm... idk, werewolves would be pretty cool, but if your a vampire you still have control over yourself."
He says, "No you don't."
I say, "Well, not if you get your soul back. But even then you'd have to fight the urge to eat people, but still you could learn to eat pig's..."
He says, "Dude, enough! You watch WAY too much Buffy."
^lol, that was hilarious. I didn't really get why it was so weird at first, but after I thought about it for a while, yes, it was kinda weird.

having my mum go off in a huff because i told her she looked smart, but then again she looks like a retard.... it was something over decorating my ickle sisters room, and my sister ended up chasing after her singing "Mums a retard" over and over... made me smile.

Hmmm okay so here's one that I just had to add - I was at Camden Lock in London and there were two of those barges heading straight for each other, I was thinking to myself 'oh no, they're going to crash' and expressed my feelings of such to my dad, I then noticed that one boat was called Angel, and the other Jenny. I then told my dad 'gee, if I was on that boat called Jenny and saw another boat called Angel heading straight for me I'd be jumping out and swimming for land! EVERYONE knows Angel kills Jenny' My dad looked at me like I was a maniac, took a drink of his pint and asked what I was going on about. I explained that it was a Buffy reference and then said 'oooh, can't wait to tell this story on the Buffy Boards!!!'... I think it was at this very point that he realised his daughter was a complete and utter geek!
