Each time I rewatch any 'Buffy' or 'Angel' show I notice something I hadn't noticed or paid much attention to before. Some are significant, some aren't. Not every one is worth making an individual thread for, but still worth mentioning.
For instance, in 'War Zone' (Angel: Season 1), when Angel is confronting the vampires who are about to attack Gunn and his friends after his sister has been killed, he introduces himself as "Angelus". I found this odd cause unless he is actually soulless and in the persona of Angelus, he strictly goes by Angel. He even makes it a point to correct people who call him by the wrong name. Even when he's trying to be intimidating to other people, vampires, demons, and whether he's in his vamp face or not, he still goes by Angel. I can't recall a time he ever didn't, except this episode. Don't know if there's any significance behind it. I guess it could be foreshadowing the dark period Angel goes through in the following season. When he's doing evil things without actually being evil.
Another one is in 'Ground State' (Angel: Season 4). In the beginning when Angel, Gunn, and Fred are in Cordelia's apartment packing up her things, Gunn is doing something with her tv and gets an electric shock. Foreshadowing that later in the episode Gwen will give him an electric shock that temporarily kills him. That one is pretty obvious but I actually hadn't noticed it til the last time I watched that episode.
In 'Birthday' (Angel: Season 3) Wesley only has one arm in Cordelia's alternate universe and when she asks him what happened he says, "Ah, Kungai demon a couple of years ago." The only episode that featured a Kungai demon was 'Parting Gifts', which was the first episode Wesley was in. So that means Cordelia being there with Angel somehow prevented Wesley from getting his arm cut off. I haven't seen the episode for a while but from what I remember, I'm not sure that makes much sense.
During the charity event for the teen center in 'Blood Money' (Season 2), when one of the tv stars is collecting a donation from a woman, the woman says, "Serena, I have to know, this thing with making your character gay, is that like all about ratings? Because I don't get it." Which is obviously commenting on how a lot of people felt about making Willow gay on the previous season of 'Buffy'.
