Random rumor that may make everybody happy

I'm still hoping that the rumors that the Faith spin-off's demise is just a brilliant piece of misdirection by Joss. Sure, it's unlikely, but hey.

I have heard the rumors about a Willow spin-off, I've also heard elsewhere though that Willow might join the cast of Angel. Not entirely unlikely since she is planning to marry Alexis Denisoff (Wes, for those who don't know).
 
A Willow spin-off would be interesting. I didnt want a Faith spinoff, becuase weve already done the Vamp Slayer stuff, so witch craft, that should be interesting. Im a fan of Charmed like most of you are, but i much prefer Joss' interpritation of magic.
 
The newest rumor is that the spin-off in now dead. It may make a return from the grave at some period in time, but if what I heard is true then it won't be soon. The story is that after E.D. decided to do another project that the studios lost interest, some ideas were tossed around afterward but nothing really grabbed their attention.

I really hope it ain't true, but this is what I heard.
 
Willow just isn't lead role material. I say put her in Ripper and Spike in Angel. Anya, Kennedy, Andrew ect. can die for all I care. As long as Spike is still alive by the last episode.
 
Actually, Ripper is going to be a movie (a TV movie if I'm not mistaken, or perhaps even a handful of them). If it does well and generates enough interest they MAY make it into a series. So putting Willow on Ripper may only extend the life her character by about 2 hours. Also Ripper will be filmed in England and A.H. is planning on marrying Alexis Denisof (Wes on Angel) so I don't think she'd be up for the move.

Also, Emma Caufield has already stated that she will not be going to Angel or to any Buffy spin-off. Marsters and Brendon on the other hand have stated that they'd be up for anything. From what I've heard Hannigan is still weighing her options. So who knows, maybe we'll get a Spike spin-off at some time in the future, or if Dushku's new series tanks we could still end up with a Faith spin-off. With the networks not jumping at any oportunities it gives thing some more time to fall into place, so everything is still up in the air and anything could happen (well, apparently anything that doesn't involve Gellar or Caufield anyway).
 
The last rumored spin-off idea to be tossed around was apparently a 'Slayer School' thing. It would have had the Potentials all training under Willow and Kennedy as psuedo-head masters. I for one can't say how relieved I am that this didn't fly (at least rumors say it didn't, anyway). It just sounds like a really bad idea. It also doesn't help that the majority of people find Kennedy and the Slayers-in-waiting to be kind of whiney and annoying (personally I don't mind them that much, I just think the idea seems a little cruddy).
 
I just find Kennedy's character to be too predictable, and the girl who plays her needs to learn to act. Sorry, I call em like I see em. 😀
 
but its not all her fault
shes very stiffly written
like the past they invented for her and the character shes playing dont mesh at all so itd be hard
as for the other SIT's they reallly give me the irrites
the bad accentsa nd genral attitude of the characters jsut rub me the wrong way
maybe theyll come good by the end and id be happyt o see them get a SIT-centric spinoff
but as of now id probably lore like turn off than tune in
 
I doubt Faith would be in any spin-off because I've heard a bunch of rumors (nothing official though) that Joss will kill her off in Buffy's finale unless Eliza signs on for a Faith spin-off (which we know isn't happening). This isn't confirmed news or anything so don't freak out! 😉
 
Wow. That's one rumor I'd like to believe. There's no doubt Willow is the most loved and strongest character on BtVS with the possible exception of Buffy herself..
 
I'd tend to believe that Faith will live even if she won't be in a spin-off of her own. If she lives than that keeps the door open for her to guest star, and I'm pretty sure that Joss has figured out that Faith showing up tends to be a highlight. If she lives than she can still show up on Angel and any possible spin-off that might arise.

The Slayer-centric show has been done for seven years so there would really be no need to kill her off unless Joss plans on another Slayer show, and I think by now he'd like to try something with a different spin. The appeal of a Faith show was that it centered around a known and loved character despite the fact that the Slayer bit has been done.

Also, the networks lost interest in a spin-off when Dushku was taken out of the picture. It is entirely possible that the folks at M.E. might want to try a 'wait and see' approach with her new show. If it goes under then they can always try for the Faith spin-off again. If the character dies that would complicate matters (then again this is the Buffyverse, where death doesn't neccisarily mean much).
 
I think it would be great, a Willow spin-of. Maybe they could bring Tara back to live! that would be awsome, just the idea of tara and will
back together!
how do you know it is possible there could be a willow spin-of? do you know anything about amber/tara? is she coming back?::dance:: :: party : ::dance::
 
According to DarkHorizons, where i got this rumor... in the spinoff area, Nick brendon, james marsters and anthony head are interested... maybe the latter to can be in Angel...
Michelle and Alyson are going to go for the bigscreen
 
I read Allison woud be intrested in a rol in Angel, maybe they just don't want to tell us what is going to happen, maybe they just want it to be a surprise! everything can happen now. (I hope)
 
The spin-off in currently dead. Joss still has plans for one, but nothing is in the works and it won't be popping up next fall.

Spike is likely to go to Angel, and Xander is a possibility (though there has been surpirsingly little talk about the fate of his character... I'm starting to think that Xander might die).

Giles is still supposed to have a Ripper TV movie or two on the way. Statements that have been made suggest that he might have some involvment with Angel (from what was said it is more likely to be as a guest star than a cast member).

Anya is leaving the show and won't be going anywhere.

Willow may go to Angel but it is unlikely (though with Denisof on the show I would tend to think that guest appearances would be highly likely even if she doesn't join the cast). She is said to be in talks to appear in some movies, I imagine the future of Hannigan's character would depend greatly on the outcome of these talks.

Faith will not be going to Angel. Dushku has another show in the works. However, with the spin-off being delayed, if her new show fails that might give a second chance to a Faith show, so I wouldn't rule it out entirely. I think the reason that Dushku decieded not to do 'Faith' was because the character is always wearing leather pants... I think she's afraid of chafing something awful (keep in mind this my suggestion, many people seem to think she just wants to play another character so she can show everyone that she can play somethng other than a 'bad girl'. I still blame the pants).
 
It seems that I am among the few who thinks that Willow couldn't host her own show. It would basicly be a clone of Charmed. I'd rather see her pop up in Angel a few times. But Spike MUST join Angel.
 
Truthat. Spike an Angel have a remarkable chemistry. Angel the troubled avenger; serious and in penance for a dark past. Spike the irreverant rake, who credits his past as 'That's how the game was played'. It would be very interesting to see these two vampires with souls interact. Anyone who doesn't think these two would be a good combination should watch the episodes in Angel that revolve around the Gem of Amara. Spike's view of Angel's dark penance made me laugh for hours.

It's sad that a Willow show would be seen as a clone of Charmed, because truly, Charmed and Sabrina took their lead from Willow on BtVS, much as BtVS filled a vacuum of public desire caused by the Anne Rice Vampire series. I think you are correct to say it would be seen as a clone of Charmed by the general public, but the I think the real truth is those two shows are more BtVS spin-offs in their own right.
 
Well, Nick Brendon has apparenly signed on for a Fox show. It's supposed to be a comedy about three women in their mid to late twenties. Brendon will play one of their old high school boyfriends. Guess he won't be moving to Angel.
