Interesting, I've never heard this term. It says that a black moon is the third of four new moons in one season. So what is the fourth new moon in a season called? I couldn't find this info! I know a "blue moon" is the second new moon in a month. It's odd they name them colors when the phenomenon has nothing to do with how the moon looks.

A Blue Moon is not the second new moon in a month, it is the same moon that has appeared in its full entirety for a second time in a single calendar month.
