Beauty and the Beast 100/10

still as good as always. Although I prefer the songs in English (had to watch in French for my mom...)

The action like expected was pretty top notch along with Adrianne Palicki being smoking hot, but I just found the array of awful accents very distracting lol.

I thought this was a great movie in all of its aspects. Had some nice plot twists, Tom Cruise is always a good actor, and the special effects I thought were all really well done. The movie stays interesting and just when you think its slowing down they throw something new at you that gets you right back into the movie.

PS: For you Game of Thrones fans out there, be prepared for a Jaime Lannister sighting lol.
 
The Coal Miner's Daughter (1980) Wow, was this a good movie! Sissy Spacek was flawless as Loretta Lynn. No wonder she won an Oscar for this! Beverly D'Angelo as Patsy Kline was amazing as well, and Tommy Lee Jones was excellent. 🙂 10/10

I love how you always watch through all the prequels to the movie you're going to see! :D
"Scary Movie 5," and it is a perfect example of why some movies should never have sequels. One thing that did get me to thinking, though...

If anyone ever decides to do a "Buffy" parody movie, Ashley Tisdale, who plays Jody, would be the perfect one to have the title role.
 
Flight - 4/10

Denzel Washington stars as an airline pilot with substance abuse problems. Twenty minutes of action at the beginning of a 138 minute film. Not much good stuff after that.
 
Lord of the Rings-Return of the King

Probably the tenth time I watched the extended edition. A score can't describe how much I love this movie! It is by far the absolute best adaptation I've seen of any movie, everything is just perfect.
 
Iron Man 3

This film is a great start to the summer movie season. Iron Man 3 is a solid action flick with an intriguing mystery plot, laugh-out-loud dialogue, a superb bad guy (Ben Kingsley is a GOD) and plenty of 'splosions.

I have a few niggles with the finale and I personally don't think wirter/director Shane Black is at his best when trying to do family orientated material, but overall I enjoyed the hell out of it.

The Hunger Games 8/10
Finally got around to see it. Very good movie. I get what the fuss is about and I will take less time watching the 2nd one. I'm not saying I would buy it (it's the kind of movie I would watch only once and whenever it comes on TV), but it was entertaining. And Josh Hutcherson is always a nice eye-candy.

Iron Man 3 - 5/10

OK, so I don't really know what to think of it. On the one hand I had fun watching the movie, on the other, there were so man things I really didn't like.
First of all, what's with the Mandarin thing? Ben Kinsley is playing an actor playing the Mandarin and Guy Pearce is the villain behind it all? I was totally disappointed. And the slapstick-y jokes? I really loved the subtler jokes from the other two Iron Man movies. Then they totally overdid those hologram things. In fact, I think they stressed the visual effects way too much. As weird as it may sound, that was way too much action for one movie, in my opinion. 40 different Iron Man suits fighting against those fire people, millions of explosions. Oh, man. I don't even wanna know how much money they spent on that one battle scene alone. And it didn't really feel like an Iron Man movie to me either. It was more like a Tony Stark (and Pepper Potts) gone superhuman movie.
To me, Iron Man 3 was a big disappointment. I'm begging that Joss Whedon can do a better job with Avengers 2.
And my head still hurts from the stupid 3D. But that's obviously not the movie's fault. I gotta buy some 2D glasses 😛

By the way, I'd rank the Avengers movies like this (starting with the best): The Avengers, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Iron Man 3, Captain America. (I haven't watched the Hulk movie)

Total classics. Both of these movies are untouchable.

Iron Man 3 9/10
Veeeeeeeeery good movie. The only downside was how it ended, and now I wonder how they'll pick it back up for Avengers 2.

On the bright side, I love when women kick asses in movies and the ending wwas just hilarious (the real ending, after the credits)

Saving Private Ryan - 8/10
Great movie, in my opinion. I'm not a fan of war movies and I think the first 30 minutes of the movie is one of the most brutal, violent and horrific sequences ever put on film. It's actually a lot less violent than many horror movies, but the fact that it's so realistic and you know things like that happen in real life makes this a quite shocking experience. John Williams' score is subtle but effective and the actors give amazing performances. But I ask myself, how the hell is this rated 16 where I live?
