Black Swan - 10/10 It is such an incredible film, beautifully made! I love the story - its so exciting! The breakdown of Nina depicted thoughout is so disturbing but really thrilling to watch! Natalie Portman is outstanding and so worthy of that Oscar and Mila Kunis is great! (Plus they are both hot!! 😛) The last 15/20 mins is incredible and I get shivers everytime I watch- I never fail to be overwhelmed and moved by the ending! The use of the Swan Lake music is great and I am left thinking about the film hours after I watch it ( this is my third time seeing it)

Full marks!!!!!

The Immortals 8/10

Good story, great action and decent (though not great) acting. Of the last couple movies based on Greek mythology ie Troy, Clash of the Titans etc. this is the best one I've seen, though the Gods do look a little odd to be honest. This a great movie if all you want to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. If your looking for something a little more cerebral or emotional then this is not your movie.
 
Jackie Brown - 9/10

This is probably Tarantino's most underrated movie. I love it! It's really great!


The Fly - 8/10

Jeff Goldblum is awesome. I love his acting.
The movie itself is really disgusting sometimes. Yuck! 😀 Horror classic!
 
I've watched two. Firstly is Seven Pounds which I thought was good but very sad 7/10 and then In Time which was average so a 5/10. Although I was interested to see Luke from Tru Calling in it and Vincent Katheiser

Just watched the Immortals last night and can only agree with the post above.
It was an enjoyable movie with good actors and a plot that never reaches a stand still. A good watch (far better than Troy IMO)!

But lmao, the Gods... oh the Gods. I mean to me they looked ridiculous. It's hard to take them seriously when they're strutting around in little gold shorts. It might work for comics but like this it just looked really ridiculous. Not to mention the various headdresses seen throughout the movie... all a little over the top.

I really did not expect to like this movie as much as I did. Paul Rudd usually ranges from "meh" to "pretty funny" for me, so this was a real treat. His character's funny, but in a totally sweet and genuine way.
It had quite a few actresses I recognized like Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, and Elizabeth Banks as the three sisters. I liked them well enough, but I found the scene where the two younger sisters suggest to the older, married sister, that the reason why her husband cheated on her was because she doesn't dress as sexy as she used to completely offensive.
But Paul Rudd's character, Ned, is just the sweetest person ever and I really enjoyed myself in the end.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix- 10! It was phenomenal!! I had only seen part of it up til now, and it was absolutely amazing. 😀

I love Harry Potter :D <3 But I remember being the most disappointed with the 5th installment though. I thought the book was so much more exciting.
The Change Up [7/10]
When I watched this I was not expecting it to be as vulgar as it was xD. I'm a sucker for any kind of movie where there is "body swapping." I love those plots. I was entertained a lot through out, but I don't remember laughing "out loud" very much.

Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader [7/10]
This movie is definitely considered a family movie, as I felt like a lot of the plots were for children. But I like adventures and book to movie adaptations - so again I give a 7. Above average but didn't blow me away.

Finding Nemo, 4/10.
I just have problems with this movie. The fish just sort of freak me out. The only reason its rating isn't lower is because I watched it in French, which was very entertaining. 😀

Haha there is nothing I didn't find amusing about this.
The Tree of Life.

I rolled my eyes at this movie a lot while watching it, it was just too much.. I like Brad Pitt and he was great as always but this film was just silly.. If it had been toned down a little I might've liked it, there moments that were amazing but there was so much that just came off as pretentious and ruined it. 2/5.
 
Shrink -- 7/10

Kevin Spacey brings it every time. It was dark, funny and sad all in one. Didn't want it to end.
 
The Three Musketeers: I'd give it a 6. The special effects & action/fight scenes were really good, & the actor who plays D'Artagnan was absolutely adorable. The plot was just ok, & some of the actors/characters were ho-hum.

This past weekend we engaged in a superhero festival at our house thanks to Netflix. So we re-watched:
Thor: 9, I freaking love this movie, love the mythology & the effects, love the casting.
Captain America: 8, loved it too, I just enjoy Thor a tiny bit more. Can't wait till next May- Avengers Assemble!
Green Lantern: 6, and I'm probably being generous here. I don't even think I sat through the entire thing. Overall I think Marvel has done a better job with movies than DC. Now if they would just let Joss do something with Wonder Woman!
