Only watched two shows this year.

Bosch - 8.5/10
Ash vs Evil Dead - 7.8/10

These ratings are the arithmetic means of the ratings I gave every single episode (except for the last episode of Ash which is not out yet).
Ash vs Evil Dead could have had an 8-something, but a few mediocre episodes in the middle of the season dragged it down. Bosch, however, is simply excellent throughout. Can't wait for season 2!

Supergirl- 7.5/10 I'm really liking it so far
Agent Carter- 7.5/10 I loved Agent Carter in the movies, so I was excited for her own show
Jessica Jones- 8/10 great adult take on someone with super powers
Qauntico-7.5/10 I'm really liking this show
Once Upon a Time-6.5/10 don't really care for the new season so far.
Gilmore Girls- 8.5/10 rewatching this year, it's one of my favorites for a reason.

Might be time to check out some new shows. Really good time for TV right now. I'd heavily suggest The Newsroom, Black Sails, The Americans & Homeland.

Does the Newsroom get better? The first few episodes bored me a little, and the West Wing was one of my favourite ever shows. Black Sails doesn't interest me, those kinds of stories just bore me now. Was a big fan of S1 of The Americans so looking forward to more.

Which season you on? The first was the weakest, but I think it picks up from there, and is very enjoyable.

Homeland Season 4? I stopped after Season 3 because I think it would have been a perfect finale and didn't feel like continuing. However, I keep reading that Season 4 feels a lot more like Season 1 which was my absolute favorite. I don't know if I should watch Season 4...

😵 And I was just starting to like you. 😛 IMO - The Newsroom was the best show since The West Wing. Simply sublime. Oh and Black Sails is really great. It's really not what you may be expecting. Plus it got even better in S2!

Most peeps (myself included) felt that S3 was the weakest of the bunch. To be fair it was still better than most shows. S4 was a return to form & S5 was great! I'd say give it another whirl. 🙂

BTW - anyone else seen Fortitude? Really neat show with interesting premise, good cast, with stark but breathtaking scenery. Best description is kinda Twin Peaks meets The Killing.

I loved the scream tv series. The first few episodes were hard to get past as I could only think about how much I loved the movies but once I saw it separately from it (in my mind) it got better. Plus a neat little twist at the end.

OK. Dunno if you know how movies/tv shows work, but there's generally a big difference between directing and producing. Also even more so if they're executive producers. Michael Bay is one of 5 ex. producers on the show. So I'm guessing that he was just an early financial backer of the project and so he gets his name attached and a cut of the profits. So most likely has nothing to do with the day to day operations of the show. I know the 1st trailer mentions him, but that's probably just to attach a big name to the project to lure viewers in. Don't recall them mentioning the 4 co-execs. 😉 I'd heavily suggest it. It's not just buncha ships blowing up. Lotta drama/intrigue/story lines going on.

Well I do know that ex producers can range from anything to a name/money man to someone involved in the creative process. I know there is a difference between that and directing, its just that with the clips I saw combined with Bay's name attached I just couldn't see it being any good. But you do seem to have fine taste, so I will give it a look with an open mind😉
