Ratings are in

I believe that Thursday isn't a horrible night for a show to air. I think the worst possible timeslot would be Friday night. Everyone is out and/or not watching TV. Just look what happened to Dark Angel. I know I couldn't want it anymore because I was out being busy and having a life on the start of the weekend. I think Tru Calling is save, for now, with a Thursday spot.

Fox often moves poor performers to Friday, at least they used to. From there it's only a short way to the chopping block!

But I still think the show can and will do well.

I agree. I can't see why it wouldn't do well. Eliza already has a well built fan base and while its a new show, people are still trying to figure out what they like and what they don't. I'm guessing in a few episodes, we're sure to see steady ratings and a show that'll be around for a while.

Hopefully this week will be better. I know around here, where I live, they never said when it would be on. They just kept saying comming soon or something like that. It was just luck that I turned the channel and seen it starting.

I really think it's unfair to put it up against Survivor and Friends in it's last season.

Tuesday would be a perfect night for it! 🙂

I just worry because I waited all summer for this show called Girl's Club (a few years ago)...watched the first three eppies, then Fox cancelled it! They didn't even bother showing the last eppies they had taped. I mean 3 episodes is hardly long enough to judge how well a show WILL do. It's all about the potential.

Actually....I think redslayer is right.

We will probably know something after the third episode airs.
They will either move it...or it's gone.

I apologize if I spoke incorrectly

The numbers are as follows

4.1 = rating
6 = share of households

The FINAL rating should come out tomorrow or Thursday. I would expect it to be in between the two numbers above.

probably around a 3.6

But that's just a guess on my part.

Remember, this is FOX network - the same peeps who moved "Firefly" around so much that even it's fans lost track of it. The same network that played with "Dark Angel" until nobody cared anymore, and then cancelled it without a word of warning or regret.

IF FOX gives Tru Calling a chance, it will carve out a niche. But unless the network executives are visited by four ghosts this Christmas Eve, I don't see that happening.

Very true. I think once Tru is aired for a bit, it will collected a serious amount of viewers and they'll keep the ratings up. FOX needs a good show for each timeslot and I think Tru Calling can do that easily.

hey guys. I just htought that this might boost some morale up in this sad depressed place. I'm new here by the way. just registered.

Recently, the FOX TV show "Skin" has been canceled after 3 episodes. Their ratings go from 1.8/4 with 4 million viewers. (adult 18-49). Now that the series is gone, Tru Calling will be matched up with The OC with back to back episodes on Thursday.

The cancellation of "Skin" and other tv shows are putting Tru Calling in danger. Remember to catch Tru Calling tonight at 8pm on FOX. (Episode 2: Putting out the Fires)

Two episodes of "Friends," 13.3/21 and 12.1/18, won the 8 p.m. hour for NBC. "Survivor: Pearl Islands," 12.2/19, put CBS in
second. "Threat Matrix" averaged 5.3/8 for ABC. The first hour
of "WWE Smackdown!" (3.6/5 average from 8 to 10 p.m.) was fourth, beating FOX's "Tru Calling," 2.8/4. The WB trailed with "Steve Harvey's Big Time" and "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment."

Everyone needs to mobilize now!

Call Fox!

1-800-369-6848
To reach Gail Berman's office, dial option 2, then 237626.

Send letters, postcards, email! Fax!

We need to act now or Tru is gone. The ratings are now below the averages for the stupid shows Fox had on Thursdays last year.

I called Berman's office and told her receptionist that I was calling to voice my support for Tru Calling and asked her to tell Ms Berman not to cancel the show.

If we can get enough calls in to Fox, before the execs start having meeting deciding what to do, it might make a real difference.

if it loses 1 point of share, it goes down to the point where Skin was... and it got cancelled.

Also, if ratings continue to go down without going back up and back and forth and such, the show will be cancelled. However, if we can get ratings back up to where they originally were (hopefully next episode) then they might instantly reconsider cancellation (if they've started thinking about it)

🙁 this saddens me..!! but seriously why put it on thursdays...that is the worst day 🙁

These ratings really surprise me since Tru calling is the best show. But I think Thruaday is a good day b/c Smallville viewers would be torn between Smallville and TruCalling.
