Ratings are in

I've been voicing my support for the show, like others on this board. I truly hope that this show does not join my other beloved shows that got cancelled.
 
The overnight ratings are up this week, just slightly below week 2's ratings.

Two episodes of "Friends," 13.4/21 and 12.8/19, won the 8 p.m. hour for NBC. "Survivor: Pearl Islands" came in second at 11.5/18. ABC milked "The Bachelor" one last time with an "After the Final Rose" special, 6.6/10. "WWE Smackdown!" finished fourth for UPN. "Tru Calling," 2.7/4, gave FOX the No. 5 spot, ahead of "Steve Harvey's Big Time" and "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" on The WB.



The only bad news is that ABC had that Bachelor special that did so well. So Tru Calling must have been 4th in the 18-34 female demographic.
 
hey! forth isnt so bad! its beter than 5th! i personally think her show is the greatest...but wutever! it deserves 1st!

Brian Ford Sullivan of 'The Futon Critic', must have been reading my mind last night. They had posted a story yesteday about 'The OC' encore being pulled from the Thursday schedule. Which led me to think, what about 'Tru Calling'. While what would air on December 4th was answered by Fox last night, there is still little word on the rest of December.

I was going to drop them an email today, but Brian beat me to the punch.

Fox's current schedule has 'Haunted' airing on December 4th and 'Star Crossed' on December 11th. Which should leave 'Closure' in line for December 18th.

1x08 - Closure

NBC began the night on top at 8 p.m. with "Friends" (15.5/24) and the first half-hour of "The Apprentice" (13.3/20). CBS was second with a 10.7/17 for a repeat of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." ABC's "Threat Matrix" carried third, with the 3.5/5 for UPN's "WWE Smackdown!" close behind. FOX got a 2.8/4 out of "Tru Calling," enough to beat "Steve Harvey's Big Time" and "All about the Andersons" on The WB.

You also have to take into account the network it's on. I'm looking at the ratings list for the season so far (Jan 9 edition of Entertainment Weekly) and the highest rated WB show is 7TH Heaven which is tied for 83rd overall with a 7.0 , next is Smallville at 91st with 6.4. There's a pretty big dropoff after that and Tru is the WB's 8th ranked show at 4.2, 105th overall (amazing considering the opposition it faces on Thursday).
 
Ooops. Most of my favorite shows have been of the WB and UPN the last few years it must be a reflex.
 
lol ya it's all good i mean hey i don't know how it compares to FOX but hey at least we know how it compares to WB
 
Tru is the lowest rated show on Fox.

The worst news about Closure's ratings is that Fox is down 38% from last year on Thursdays when Fox ran some stupid re-edited Cops episode and reality crap and had considerably higher ratings than Tru. Last January- March, Fox did very well on Thursdays with specials, reruns of Joe Millionaire and American Idol specials. So, unless Tru's ratings pick up substantially, Fox will continue to be down double digits from last year on Thursdays. And that's the stat that the investors will be looking at.
