Meh, I live in the Bible Belt and used to be an Evangelical, this is certainly not an unknown thing to me. I guess they could be doing worse things. Sure Jesus exorcised a few demons in the Gospel writings, but he spent a lot more time talking about how we should be taking care of the poor. To me, that is a better use of a Christian's time.

They are not mental health professionals and should not be doing mental health/psychological evaluations. Personally I think they should be fined for that. There are liscensure laws for psychologists/psychiatrists/mental health workers.

First we have those asswipes that go to funerals to mock an individuals death (I forget their name) and now we have this.

Westboro Baptist Church doesn't attend military funerals to mock the particular deceased person, it's to protest the military's policies regarding gays in the military. I'm not trying to justify what they do at all (it's disgusting), although it has been ruled by the Courts to be protected speech.

Westboro Baptist Church. Those are the most misguided souls I've ever encountered. Theycame to speak at my old high school this year and the town was pissed. They got protested!

Did they actually come to speak to your student body, during school hours? Or do you mean that they protested outside? Because if it was the former, that breaks all kinds of laws regarding separation of church and state. I'd be surprised if it was that, 'cuz the district would get sued in a second!

I did not hear them speak. I've been out of high school for years now, so I couldn't go. Not that I wanted to. Every time I hear them speak, I kinda wanna slap whomever is speaking...
