I am still a little confused on the whole vampire/invite thing. Okay so Dawn invited Harmony in, she came in and Xander litterly KICKED her out. Why didn't she just come back in?? Cause she is stupid?? Or does the invite work once?? Confused??

stupidity would be my guess. Xander kicked her ass. Xander wasn't who she was after. so, she left. pretty much it.

the invite thing works for as long as the house remains in the possession of those who did the inivting...or unless Willow and Co. do that de-invitation spell.

in an episode sometime after 'Real Me' Spike tells Riley that Buffy recently had the spell performed to de-invite two vampires from her house. he was referring to Harmony and Dracula. he was also referring to the fact that Buffy had yet to ask for the spell to be performed to keep him (Spike) out.
 
To be fair, Harmony had her ass kicked by Xander. Maybe she thought she couldnt beat him so didnt bother trying? 😛
 
I reckon it was just that Harm realised that her "minions" hadn't been able to follow her in and decided that she probably couldn't take on Xander, Anya and Dawn alone, at least not without risk. Better to give up and wait for another chance.
 
I agree that she might have been afraid of getting her ass kicked my xander anya and dawn, but also maybe because she was looking for buffy, and she didnt see the point of sticking around if the slayer wasnt there

I always wondered how Harmony got minions...surely she can't be that high up on the vamp food chain to get lackeys.
