Catholics..theres...baptism, confession, communion, and then confrimation. you become an 'adult' in the church (i was in 6th grade) you pick a name, of a saint, to honor, and to follow in their paths, and you get a sponsor and go through this big gedo, in a dress (gedo might be dutch, or spelled wrong, but get idea right) and...make promises, kinda like at baptism and communion only bigger and..stuff...its..a big deal. so. you get a name. and you're an adult in the church.
help any? its..a lil hard to explain...and..eh...if it werent for what it meant for my grandmother when i did, id forget all about it, not..really liking church but...*shrugs*

we were. forced till..9th...then...eh...lost faith years before. hate church. i loved it till 6th. but..switched churches..and..long story. it..can be good church..but...sometimes it hurts more than it helps...its...complicated...but..

My name is Mari like my username (I have no imagination so decided to use my first name as my username also...) and I like it. It's very common girl name here in Finland (I have two friends who have the same name 😛) but still I like it. My second name is Johanna and I think it's also nice name. 🙂

i'm Gina. i like it... it looks pretty... but it's very strange when someone says my name to me... i guess i'm not used to hearing it out loud.. but i think it's okay. (the reason i haven't heard it that much is becasue over the years i've had alot of nick-names. like cassie, Li, imp, and polexia. now i'm just me.. Gina. well not in here, casue i REALLY REALLY like polexia!) :yay: i also have a middle name.... i don't use it, but i do like it. it sounds nice, and my fathers mother gave my father the idè cause he didn't like Gina at first...(my mom pronunced it in the english way... but we say it in the norwegian way.) its Benedicte. (reminds me of the word benediction)

oh, one of you wrote that you wouldn't change your name.. i wouldn't either(though i might have dreamed of it for sometime....) i liek my name.. it's me... when i see it somewhere.. it's me(if you get my drift.) my lil sis, she changed her name in january.. i still don't call her by her new name,she changed her name into her nick name. she used to be: marte emilie, now she is tulla emilie. i like them both, but she'll always be my marte...(emilie=emily, marte=marta) she changed her last name to. my mom also changed her name... from hilde to hilda rebecca(don't ask me why.! LOL hilde-hilda.. not that different. Rebecca was her grannys name.)

My name is Heather-Lee Marie --- Boring ,boring! Why my mom have to hyphenat my first name it alwas bothered me, always having to explain not middle name or last stuff like that-- everybody would just end up calling me Heather---one of myy proffesors tried calling me by HL but it confused the other heather and the Lee so she wound up using my last name initial ---- kids used to make poems outa my name to make fun of me -- heatherlee climbed a tree and got stung by a bee for example ---------------------------- i hate marie i think im sure everybody has it ehhhhhhhhgggrrrrargh

I guess you all think my name is Annie, right? well...it's Anne...without the i...But I like Annie better, Anne is so boring. I don't really have a middle name, it's really two last names, but without the - inbetween, it's a middle name...
I have such a boring name. Rachel. My middle name is the same as my neighbors name and my street name. I actually suggested that people call me Lochley. Not sure why. It sounds like a cool name. Or Penn. That is a common nickname for me. Along with Andy. Even though those names have absolutley nothing in common with my name.
