Real talk: what's with all the winter hats?

I mean, this:

Willow, you are inside a building, in the library, why is there a honking winter hat on your head? It can't be that cold, I mean, Buffy's wearing just a shirt.

Why? Oz and the guy in the red shirt are wearing just shirts, it's not cold enough to wear a winter hat! Why are you wearing a winter hat Willow?

Buffy! You're wearing a mini and a top. It's warm, probably summer. Why are you wearing a winter hat? You're not cold, you can't be and yet you are, wearing a winter hat. Why?

Weren't those hats instyle then? There really is no good explanation.....it's sorta like the ugg boots with shorts that are "cool" today.

Thank god she only does it once because it does not suit.

Reminds me of a woman I once saw one summer wearing a cowboy hat that said "bitch" across the front in that bedazzle jewelry stuff, lol! Okaay, good to know.

My hats are much more 'on trend' (at least I'll keep telling myself that), then the ones from the 90's shown in those caps, but I have to admit I am a sucker for hats.

I have a black beanie with black and silver studs that I have worn with black t-shirts and jeans, berets that I have worn with short sleeve floral dresses, and sailor style vintage caps that I have worn with striped shirts and leather skirts. Fashion can be crazy if you're brave enough to wear wild outfits and I am sure that even though I feel I look amazing now that in 20 years time I will have my head in my hands willing the photo evidence into non-existence.

I don't think they were wearing them to stay warm. It was just a fashion thing. Willow has her own style, with the fuzzy sweaters and hats. Idk why Buffy has a cowboy hat. That was terrible.

Haha, honestly the winter hats do not confuse me at all. One, they're cute 🙂
But real talk; I mean as soon as the snow leaves the ground around here (and it's still shit cold) you'll see teen girls strutting around in mini-skirts and t-shirts, as though they're impervious to cold. But they're not so usually it's paired with a hat because ostensibly it helps them keep warm... I feel too old to dress like that now but as a teenager, yeah, I definitely dressed like that even in the summer (if there was a nip/wind in the air). That way you could show off your cute outfit... 🙂

There's no excuse for that cowboy hat though... was it there because Buffy was a "cowboy" to the Shumash guy's "Indian"?
