REALLY obscure trivia!

But shouldn't it be black = ashes then? She has walked/is walking through the fire = burned.

Maybe. But if you burn yourself, it turns red, doesn't it? Or, if something's still on fire, it's red...I don't think the "walking through the fire" bit of OMWF was supposed to insinuate that Buffy was burned up. Just, burning. On the brink of burning up/dying. She even starts to literally burn up, before Spike stops her.
Like I said, it's just a theory. 🙂

In season 5 when we first meet Glory shes wearing strappy red sandals. She gets really pist off and stamps her feet and breaks the heel off of one... in a later scene you see her playing with the same shoes on the bed and theyre intact.

I have gone through and watched a lot of these that I hadn't seen before! You guys are awesome for pointing all of this out!

When I was watching Flooded the other day, I noticed that when M'Fashnik goes to the Trio, there is a shoot-em-up game on the television behind them, but none of them are playing or even facing the TV!

Ahh, just thought of something. Maybe that was supposed to be a subtly clever "walking through the fire" metaphor. Buffy wears white, she walks through the fire, now she's wearing red. Too subtle, though, and ends up just looking like a mistake. 🙂

I'm pretty sure that's what they were going for - the taking the jacket off was supposed to be a reveal. It's the whole "quick change" musical thing. Plus, they did it again, only with less subtlety, with Anya in Selfless during "I'll be his Missus."
