Why did you pick your Username? Does it have a special meaning or a funny story behind it? Is it a nickname everyone you have ever known has called you all your life?

Okay mine:

Zirayah is my middle name. And the 333 stands for half evil. (Half of 666 get it?) Anyways a couple of years ago I play a prank on my bestfriend Meri and when the prank was successful and she found out that I was the one who pulled it she called me completely evil. I then said, "Naw hun, I half evil!" It's stuck since then. Everyone has said that I was half evil since then!!!
 
Well, my name is eponinethen (obviously), and lots of people have a problem remembering it. The "story" or whatever is, that when I was 15 I became obsessed with Les Misérables. I loved the book by Victor Hugo, and I loved the French TV series (and the French movie about WW2 inspired by Les Mis).. and the musical.. My favorite character was always à‰ponine Thénardier, she is the coolest female character in Les Mis. So, my name was eponine for a while, but at some boards that name was already taken, and eponinethenardier was too long and too complicated. To it became eponinethen, and now I'm stuck with that, and I kinda like it...

Ripper Giles....hmm...well I always loved the episode "That Dark Age" and thought it was so cool, the nickname. And since Giles is my favourite character : pain3:

I might change it, though. People around here have such personalized names...I think I will.
 
Well Mines Maria is short for Maria the Rambler. I got cuz I was brood of my old name Calangel ( wich means what it says. Calforina Angel. Everyone called me Angel cuz I was really sweet and nice and Then I live in cali so.) but I got really brood of it. So changed it. The Rambler part is a Nickname i had for a long time. wich is coz I talk a lot. and wont shut-up for anything. and Maria was I chouse for a few reasons. One I awlys loved that name for some reason. and two its my fav person from one of my fav shows (Roswell). but Maria the Rambler was too long for me so I just took the Rambler off.
 
Mine "Xander Harris" because he's my favourite character! Doy! Originally I was "The Loyal" which was a referance to Xander being so loyal to the scoobies. He was "the loyal" one.
 
Well, when I first got here I was PainbowPaige, which is because of the one Angel eppy, Sense and Sensitivity, where Angel is punching the guy and says something like, 'you could be a rainbow and not a...painbow.' and my name is Paige. Then my username was Paige, pretty much explains itself. Now, it's Destucto Girl, because of the Buffy quote where she says- 'Destructo Girl, that's me' also, I'm very clumsy.
 
Yeah... MentPatient is short for MentalPatient.
People would call me mental, as some of you would too, and I tried using MentalPatient for AIM but someone had it so I shortened it. And now I'm using MentPatient for all my boardnames. :lol2:
 
Jill Valentine, and not Bloody Milla Jovovich, (I use that phrase a lot) is the closest thing there is to a lead character in the Resident Evil games, having notched up more appearances than any other character, and apparently having turned into Scarlett Johansson in the Gamecube version. Jill_Valentine is my standard online name, and I stick to it for two reasons. For one thing, it's a secret handshake to other survival horror fans, and for another, it's a name that works in other contexts. My previous abstract usernames tended to reflect my mood when I registered, and felt lame in the cold harsh light of day, but I can go by Jill without blushing. Except for the Valentine part which makes me sound like a wannabe porn star.

I also love what the Jill Valentine character represents to video games - she was the first real video game heroine. Unlike Lara Croft, she wasn't designed purely as eye candy, though she's not exactly dowdy. She's smart, capable and she can handle herself in a scrap. She's not fearless, not by a long shot, but she's as strong as she needs to be. And she's the kind of girl who, when deciding to fight her way out of a doomed city of the living dead, considers a boob tube/ mini skirt combo and knee high boots a sensible outfit for the trip.

The only problem is, I sometimes organise get-togethers in Dublin with net buddies. Half of them assume my name is actually Jill, and the other half call me by my real name. Cue lots of confusion and a tendency to answer to a name that's not mine in public. On the upside, it means I get to ask for drinks twice.
 
SpiketheBloody is a mix of Spike and William the Bloody. i thought it was cool sounding so now i use it pretty much everywhere! i chose it because Spike is my favorite character and he's so cool!!

Well, the name didn't involve much thought. I didn't want a character name, and I wasn't sure at the time if I wanted to reveal anything so personal as my name in my UN, so there it was. Most people are thrown by the N. It's sort of like (and no making fun of the funny hispanic chick either!) N'Sync. Good god, did I really just say that?! (No offense to those who fancy them.) NSlayMode was a short way for me to say In Slay Mode. As I forever am! : smug : But as sweet on the name as I am I've amused the thought of changing it.....we'll see. :thought:
 
My name comes from two things; my life-long fascination with the mythical bird the phoenix (I have a necklace with one on it) and the fact that I have had a lot of bad things happen to me, but I keep coming back, rising from the ashes you might say.
 
I have only just changed my name as a christmas gift to myself lol i changed it too Xin Rong because i've always wanted a character name but they where al;l taken and even though i did really liike xin rong (the chinese slayer) i didnt think about using her so when i saw her name mentioned in tales of the slayer forum i thought i'd check the member list to see if she was there and she wasnt so i decided to use the name, i was previously Vampire Slayer
 
Most people could take a wild guess at why I picked mine. After Alyson Hannigan, I got it when I first signed up, Willow was my favourite charecter, but that name was taken, so I took the charecter name. But most people think that is my name is now 😀 I have recently changed all my username to "Samara" on all boards except this one and two others. I want to change it here but cant be bothered. :hehe, I got Samara because of the movie "The Ring" if anyones seen it, its the main girl played by Daveigh Chase whos name is "Samara Morgan" and I fell in love with that movie and the name..
 
When I first joined this board it was because I had just seen the epi. where my favorite character Xander got his eye poked out and I realy needed to talk to someone about it. So when I joined I kinda had that on the brain. Also Alexander is my middle name and I'm totally a pirate but I dont think those contributed to my user name.
 
I like Fred--- and its the only thing I could think of at the time, didn't bother to capitalize cause well lazy and I misspelled it to--- I think I have a thing for e's because I have a few in my real name--- but isn't the name cool?

Mesektet -> The little girl in the White Room of Wolfram and Hart, S4 Angel. Also the barge Ra rode through the underworld at night, according to Egyptian mythology. Mesektet is the equivalant to 'midnight', or the darkest hour.

Ra -> The Egyptian sun god. Also relates to Angel as Mesektet was a member of the totem Rahtet, which had to be systematically killed to blot out the sun in LA. All my other names on other boards relate to Mesektet in some way - Rahtet Mesektet, midnight_mesektet.
 
My best friend in the non-cyber world goes by the name Evil Clown at the boards he frequents. I figured what goes better with an Evil Clown than a killerdwarf? Thus, I had my name!
 
eponinethen: OMG!I like that show, Les Miserables!I watched it earlier this year with my family.It was pretty good.Too bad I forgot my glasses.It was really blurry, but oh well.LOL.
 
Hehe, yay. That was the French tv show you watched? 'Cause I loved that one. That is the only version I've seen where à‰ponine has a real part. And she's cool in it too (I kinda think of her and Faith the same way, she could be Faith in an earlier life or something, ehh).
