Reboot of Charmed Is in very VERY early development

The original idea was good, and some good special effects followed. I think the problem will be that the sisters and their partners will have to be in it (cameo roles) as we saw them as moms and dads.
Will it be worth watching though?

In general, I could care less. Except for in terms of "Ugh, we had 13 episodes of Firefly, and Caprica was cancelled, but we get MORE Charmed?!"

I don't know how I feel about all these re-boot ideas. It's almost like no one has an original concept anymore, so they're grabbing onto the first successful show that's been off the air for more than five years. Yes, I'll admit, sometimes they work, but I'd like to see a little bit more creativity back in LaLa Land.

I so agree, I'm a bit tired of it! Hope it's just a temporary trend. Besides, I just don't really get it. There are a number of witch shows on right now, just watch those!

No, they wouldn't have to do that. Not if it's a reboot rather than a continuation.

I think it would be interesting to see, but personally I cannot form a full "for or against" attitude until I know the plot line and actresses. So we'll see!

There's a rumor running around that says that there'll be four sisters from the start, rather than only three at a time, which I suppose probably means that there won't be any sort of secret sister storyline.

"The Power of 4" doesn't exactly have the same ring to it though, does it? Lol.

I like the idea of that kind of show but I don't think they should base it off of "Charmed" completely. I think they should take a darker route with it & do something more along the lines of the movie "The Craft".

I think a reboot of Charmed would be a good idea, so long as they tried to do it properly, although I enjoyed certain parts of the show, overall it was a disaster, especially the final episode

Brad Kern took over most creative control in season 4, and totally in season 5, which is primarily when it went downhill. He also has taken over Beauty and the Beast this season, and "sophomore slump" doesn't even begin to cover how downhill it has fallen.

I bet if Constance had stayed on as part showrunner, it would have been a much better series as a whole. Most of the mythology that was forgotten in 5-8 was mythology that Constance had created. Without the creator's guiding force, it was a crapshoot. I love charmed, mainly for the amazing Holly Marie ("Piper"), who steals every scene she is in, and is wholly underrated.

I think the biggest fail when it comes to tv series is when the original creator leaves, it's like part of the heart of the show is missing. This happened with Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Smallville.... we even experienced it with a lot of the season 6 Buffy storylines. Part of the reason Veronica Mars is so epic is because of the love that Rob Thomas has for his show.

ALLLLLLL this said... I think a Charmed reboot could work. As long as the right person helms it. Cultivates a mythology, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, sticks to that mythology.
