I'm not sure if there has already been a thread about this series before, but I thought I'd make one anyway.
As well as Buffy, Angel, and Doctor Who, one of my all time favourite shows is ReBoot. For those who don't know, ReBoot is a Canadian CGI Cartoon Series that ran from 1994-2001 (unless you live in the UK like me, where the series got axed during Season 3 after parents complained about the show being 'Too Dark and Violent'). It was the first full length CGI Cartoon Series, and was about life inside a Computer. The series mostly followed the Guardian Bob in the system of Mainframe as he battled game cubes (not to be confused with the Nintendo Console of the same name) that the User inputted into the computer, where the characters would go inside and 'ReBoot' into a game character in order to combat the User and defeat him. If the User isn't defeated, the part of Mainframe the game lands on gets destroyed, and the citizens trapped inside are turned into nulls, small worm like creatures that drain energy.
Asides from the Game Cubes, the characters also had some villains to tackle in the form of computer viruses. The most frequent of these were Megabyte, the main villain of the series, and his insane sister Hexadecimal.
What I loved about this series was the characters. They were enjoyable to watch, and the later seasons also had some great character development. The darker atmosphere that the later seasons had was also enjoyable, containing an awesome story arc which was pretty damn good, even for a show aimed at kids.
While the series has been off the air since 2001, there is still a pretty large fanbase for the show. In fact, there is a massive group of fans trying to bring it back in the form of a revival. I'd love to see the series come back, mainly because I want to see how the cliffhanger from the end of Season 4 gets resolved (it was planned as a 12 episode Season, but got cut down to 8), but also think the series has a really rich lore which I'd hate to see go to waste.
