Recasting "Buffy"

If you were going to recast the show, with the requirement being that NONE of the old cast could return, who would you pick? Just to keep the list small, we'll say that you only have to cast Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Giles. (I know that no real fan of the show would see this as anything short of blasphemy, but this is just an exercise to stretch your imagination.) Feel free to reboot any or all characters however you prefer, just explain the changes.

I think they should all be little known actors giving new people a chance at a new career. SO, I could not list who I would pick! Lame I know but it's how I feel about a new cast, that it should be a NEW cast!

Kristen Bell as Buffy, definitely.
She has the same charisma, wit, kick-assness. She'd be almost as perfect as SMG I think, and when you watch Veronica Mars, you think "Hey, she's a bit Buffy-like!"

The others are maybe harder to pick...
Giles could be played by Gary Oldman I think. Or maybe David Thewlis.
Hum...
Who could be Willow? I reckon Sandra Bullock could (not talking about the age of course). She also has that kind of squirkiness. It's not really a good choice but I don't know who else I could chose...
And for Xander...that's the big "Eeeeer...". Jason Segels maybe?

Buffy - Melissa Joan Heart (Younger days obviously)

I can see MJH doing a feasable Buffy, she's got comedy timing down pat and can do some pretty serious roles when it comes down to it

Xander - Joshua Jackson (Younger days again, think Dawsons Creek era)

I can see him doing Xander pretty well... he's got the sarcastic humor down but can also pull off some dark roles along with tragic romance (See Fringe if you don't believe me)

Willow - Bonnie Wright

Possibly a perfect Willow, cute redhead who can do bookish and nerdy at the beginning but really grow up to be a perfect flower...

Giles - Jason Carter

One of the few people I can see as Giles aside from ASH... he can do bookish and old style, but had a darkness underneith that can really shine through.

Angel - Tom Welling

One of the perfect 'brooding dark hero' actors, think he'd do amazing as Angel, can pull of dark and mysterious while still trying to act like a hero.

Cordelia - Tiffany Amber Thiessin (Younger days again, think Saved by the Bell era)

The rich queen of the school, perfectly pretty and pristine to look at, but with hidden depths for people to find.

Oh and am I the only one that thinks Dianna Agron as Buffy would be absolutely atrocious? I would pay good money NOT to see that. I love Dianna Agron, I think she's sweet as pie, but her entire vibe just doesn't match that of Buffy. I think I would find Buffy a little boring if played by Dianna.

Also Cory Monteith is WAY to good looking and cute to be Xander!

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Dianna Agron. Don't know why. Probably because I don't like any of the characters I've seen her play. I'd prefer Kristen Bell as Buffy.
