Hi Everyone!
So I am very excited to have successfully hooked my best friend on BTVS. We started watching a few months ago and now whenever we hang out we watch a few episodes. Sadly, we cannot binge watch every day. We are up to season three and just watched "Homecoming". In my opinion, some of the best episodes are about to come up. I love "Helpless" and I can't wait to see her reaction to Giles's betrayal.

What about you? Has anyone else successfully hooked their friends and family? Are there any less successful stories? I did get my husband to watch the whole series, but he never fell in love with BTVS. He actually enjoyed Angel, at least until Cordy went crazy. That's when shit got weird and he lost interest.

Got my son and former daughter in law hooked. Am currently working on indoctrinating my grandson.
Got my boyfriend hooked.
I am all about sharing the joy, angst and hotness that is BTVS.

My daughter just won't cave though...her response is "bored now"

I haven't had the pleasure of getting people into Buffy yet, but I hope it will happen someday because it's a good show 🙂

My niece and nephew really like it. This and Doctor Who. When I babysit them (they're 7 and 10) They want grilled cheese sandwiches and Buffy or the Doctor. I've trained them well. 😀

Yeah got my Mum hooked on it although we were kind of getting into it together which was cool. Also, recently got one of close college friends into the show. She read my blog reviews and it inspired her to birge watch the whole thing. In fact, I've had quite strong feelings for her which sadly she doesn't have back, but she has referred to us as like Buffy and Xander which is quite a beautiful way to look at it😛

I think that's a signal for you to hook up with her sister and wait for her to go through gay and get to you.

Xander didn't wait, he just pointed it out as a fact and rejected Buffy. That's one of his finest hours.

After being with my Girlfriend (now wife) for 9 years now and always being laughed at for keeping the action figures, trading cards and other stuff she has finally started watching it with me after accidentally catching the end of season 1 while I was watching it. She is now hooked and wants to watch new episodes every day. We started one and a half months ago with a full rewatch and are already towards the end of season 5.
It´s awesome as I somehow get to rewatch it a little like its the first time as I catch all the excitement with her when plot twists come up.

Good work! Yes, I find it is a different experience when re-watching the show with a different person who has a fresh prospective on it. Its always interesting to see their reaction to certain things and then to discuss those things with them.

I tried so hard with my husband. Tried Once More, With Feeling, that was a bit of a dud because he hates musicals, so then we tried Hush and he preferred the episode but it still didn't hook him.

But then, he's weird, he married me. 😀

I got my partner into Buffy, Angel, and Dollhouse. He was always put off Buffy because of the name and thinking it was a silly show for teenage girls. 🙄 I soon fixed that. He had seen Firefly already so was willing to give it a chance based on how much he enjoyed that, and it was around the time Joss Whedon was becoming more well known with The Avengers.

Actually, my husband really enjoyed Firefly, so he's not completely opposed to the Whedonverse.... just Buffy and Angel. That's some redeeming quality, right?! 😛

Then he's not full weirdo *phew*
I may have unintentially gotten people interested in watching Angel. It was a class tv show oral assignment. I detailed all of the characters and some themes. Some classmates were looking at me like "wow, this guy's obsessed" while others asked if it comes on tv. I talked a little about BtVS too since some of the AtS characters were originally on there.
