Referral?

I suddenly have a Referral, and I haven't referred anybody as I don't know any other Buffy fans apart from my Mum anymore. Has somebody got onto my account? :looking:
 
What is a referral? And I wonder if it works whether you refer to anyone or someone refers to you?
 
No one has gotten into your account. Probably someone saw your username and entered it when they registered as a referrer. No biggie.

If you click the options button along the bar at the top (The one with User CP and the FAQ) and then click on Refferrer Stats then locate your name from that list.
 
I couldn't find my name on the Refferrer Stats list.

The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.

You gain referrals by promoting Buffy-Boards using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

https://www.buffy-boards.com/index.php?referrerid=5973

Each time someone follows this link to Buffy-Boards and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.

Your administrator will have more information on any prizes or rewards that may be given out for referrals. Please be courteous when promoting Buffy-Boards by not spamming other web sites with your referral link just to gain referrals.
