Reincarnations and Slayers?

Are all the Slayers reincarnations of each other? I mean, they do have the prophetic dreams and all...

Then again, reincarnations are usually born within the hour of their past live's death, right? So, that kinda answers my question, but I'm still wondering a bit.

I was just thinking of this because of the little idea of Joan of Arc being a Slayer. I was wondering, for things like the anime Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, where the main character is the reincarnation of Joan of Arc, does that mean that she'd be the Slayer, too? Because Joan of Arc was a Slayer, is her reincarnation destined to be one also? Just a thought. Thanks.
 
Well, could be. Not as in Kendra being a reincarnated Buffy. But all the slayers and potentials could be reincarnated slayers and potentials. As in, when Kendra died, a new potential was born. (Same thing should then happen to the potentials who died in season 7.)

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Maybe Buffy was the reincarnation of the Slayer after Nikki Wood or something, as she might've died around the time that Buffy was born.
 
Or by Nikki? Or when did she die (hey I'm bad with years). Or maybe Kendra or Faith or someone else was the reincarnation of Nikki.

I wonder who the reincarnation of Buffy is though.. Anyone know a girl born in May/June (or whenever the last ep of s1 was shown) 1997?
Question is though, we pretty much know that no new slayer was called when Buffy died the second time, but would a new potential be born when Buffy died in the end of season 5 as well? (And when she dies for real..?) Heh.

Good question. Probably not, as the Slayer line passed through Faith then, but you never know.

Nikki died in 1977, I believe. I'm pretty sure Kendra was born in 1981, like Buffy, but not sure about Faith.

that's why they wasn't another new Slayer when Buffy died in season 5. So I highly doubt there would be a reincarnated potential that was made from Buffy after season five... otherwise, Buffy wouldn't be able to come back, right?
 
It just dawned upon me, what if the Slayers dream about only the Slayers that they're reincarnations of?
 
Well we already know that they dream of all the Slayers, as Dana when fighting Spike mentions both The Korean Slayer and Nikki!
 
Truthfully, i honestly doubt that the prophetic dreams and memories of the lives of past slayers have anything to do with reincarnation. It's a lot more likely that it's simply a side effect of all the girls being linked via the power of the slayer line.

As one girl dies the power passes to another girl and creates a kind of psychic bond between her and all the girls that came before.

I like this idea much better than the reincarnation one...not that I'm shooting anyone down about reincarnation, it's just that the concept of a soul in the Buffyverse is a very person-specific thing, and the idea of multiple people per soul, well, doesn't seem to fit quite right, IMO.

MMMM, but u gotta remember a new slayer isn't born when another dies, she's called.

Ditto to everything you said. I never truly said that I believed in reincarnation of slayers, but rather, I just brought up the idea as a possibility.
