relationships...don't be shy...

*cough* behave you two! 😉

As most of you know by now, I'm married to Andy (Wesley on here), in fact we've been together for 11 years now and actually married for 8 of them come Dec 16th. We have 4 boys and another one due June 16th - little girl this time! Before that I was in a relationship for 3 years but thankfully I came to my senses and dumped the guy. 😀 I guess I've been pretty lucky with my marriage as we're more like one person than 2 individuals - ask Faith or Buffy Summers - we often finish each others sentences etc Most of our friends are envious of our relationship because we rarely argue and the more time we spend together the more we get on - we argue more if we spend time apart!

All pretty dull and boring really, but I am so glad that I am out of the whole dating game *shudders* as I would really hate to be having to start out all over again. I belive that I have already found my 'soulmate' if there is such a thing, and I can really only see death parting us.

I probably sound really boring and dull to have only had 2 relationships really, one from when I was 14 to 17 yrs old, then I was single and celibate by choice till I got with Andy when I was 21 yrs old. I think it works so well because it was actually a friendship that developed into more as time went on, we had known each other for about 6 yrs or so before we actually realised how we felt about each other.

Okay, you can all get your heads out of the sick buckets now! 'lol'

Awww, that's a really sweet story Cordelia and not sickening at all.

I've been with my husband for fifteen years. We've been married twelve years this August 10th and i can honestly say he's my best friend. I can tell him anything. He's calm, laid back and easy going and a fantastic father to our two kids, our son is nine and our daughter is two. Our boy is autistic, and to a lot of couples, the stress of dealing with autism on a day to day basis is a death knell on their relationship. Not us. We split the responsibility of looking after him fifty-fifty. When i get stressed from dealing with him (and he can be hard work sometimes) then he takes over and vice versa. We almost lost our daughter at birth (she was 12 weeks premature and not expected to survive) he was like a rock. I leaned on him a heck of a lot in those dark early days and he was amazing. I couldn't have gotten through it without him, and today, she's so fit and well and they have such a close loving father and daughter relationship, it made it all worthwhile. He gets on great with our boy, they're like two halves of a whole. He just shrugged his shoulders the day we were told he was autistic and said "he's my boy" and we take each day as it comes.

We're physically and emotionally very different. He's really dark haired with green eyes and i'm very blonde with blue eyes. He's calm and laid back as i've already said, and i'm the opposite, but somehow our relationship works. He's got a wicked sense of humour and makes me laugh out loud with stuff he's told me. He's not into Buffy/Angel/SFX stuff at all, but will happily listen to me wibble on about them. He buys me Angel stuff without a qualm, is cool about the pictures of David Boreanaz, Rob Thomas (of Matchbox Twenty) and Hugh Jackman that i have in my little computer cubby hole and is a sweetheart to be honest. He's secure enough to know that he's number one man in my life.

We've never had a full blown row in 15 years of being together. We bicker, but make a rule of never doing that in front of the kids. We complement each other and i absolutely adore him. He says i drive him nuts with my compulsive untidiness and the fact i can be completely scatterbrained. But he says the best thing about me (apart from the obvious) is my unquestioning loyalty and trust i have in him. And God help any female who gets within two feet of him (except his mum, his sister and his daughter 😀 )

That's me and my relationship. Feel free to pass the sickbucket if you need 😉

I wish I could have a boyfriend, but I have to wait till 18. Which is good. I don't wanna get pregrent very young.

Remember girls, just because you've got a boyfriend doesn't mean you've got to sleep with them and if you do.....use protection!🙂

My last boyfriend was actually in a cult.......not like a full on one, i guess you could call it a 'mainstream' one. I didn't know this until 6 months into the relationship..........obviously didn't last much longer after that shock!!

I have been happily single for about 10 months now! 😀

Single...met a hot guy last weekend...he has a girlfriend though.

But apparently she's really stupid, so, you know, I got that going for me 😀

I've been married for two years in July to a man named Ismael. He is a great guy and we had been together for 5 years prior to that, so needless to say, we know each other pretty well. We are the perfect balance of one another. He is calm, and laid back, Mr. Rationality. I, on the other hand, am neurotic and wacky, Ms. Irrationality. Some would think that that would make us fight, but it helps us get along-he calms me when I'm being unreasonable, and I kick him in the butt when he's not worrying enough. We are two very happy people and we are looking forward to the day when we are financially sound enough for children.

ho....choke people married...

me...i'm due for a sport falk....i've been due for a while..

I have intimacy (trust) issues, and a fear of commitment.

hehe

Sorry I can't contribute more than that. At least I'm aware of the problem. Whenever things get serious, I start backing away. I've actually considered seeing a therapist about it, because I feel I want to settle down but its like I can't stay rational about it. Sounds crazy I guess lol, but I gather everyone has a small element of crazy in them in one aspect or another.
