Southland Tales is in there at 6 aswell, another movie Sarah starred in. Like i said in a previous thread though apparently these movies failing had nothing to do with Sarah's performance.

I agree, Sarah is a quite capable actress. She just seems to suck at picking movies to work in. (She should hire a new agent or whoever it is that finds these turkeys for her to work in)

She hasn't been in anything big for quite a long time, here's hoping when she returns to acting she'll get a role worthy of her talents.

It's from the same makers of Donnie Darko. The plot is super ridiculously difficult to understand. Time travel/ the world ending....but you really have no idea whats going on unless you re-watch the damned thing over and over again. I had to watch Donnie Darko like 10 times before I could completely wrap the whole time-space continuum around my head. With Southland Tales, it was a bit easier to understand imo. I can only assume that for this reason, it lost so much money. Most people don't want to watch something they'll never understand, and those people make up a good 80% of our population (sadly). I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe I'm just weird

Sounds a bit like "Inception" in terms of you having to really concentrate on what is going on. "Inception" has done really well though at the box office.

Ha well...Inception, for me, was really easy to understand. I understood it during my first watch. But movies like Southland Tales, Donnie Darko, and Mulholland Drive...those movies you REALLY need to pay attention. you can't afford to miss anything

Yeah, Inception is like 3rd grade math compared to the theoretical calculus of Southland Tales.

I'm not surprised. That movie sucked big time. Actors weren't that bad, just plot.. it was so boring and stupid :/

Thought it was a decent movie and I would have guessed it did some decent money. At least not this bad.

Well I can see why Harvard Man is on the list, I actually have it on dvd but that's purely for Sarah being in it. The movie is... well, definitely not awesome.

Southland Tales however... adore it. Though I suppose I can see why it didn't make the big bucks

I bought Harvard Man at Best Buy on an impulse - it was $5 and I had never heard of it. didn't hate, but not my fave.
