Okay, I think I have a problem, and I hope someone with a thourough knowledge of AVG free can help me.
When I logged in for the first time, I checked the 'remember me' thingy, so I wouldn't have to login every time. But now, all of a sudden, my virus scanner goes all "you've got a dangerous cookie" everytime I open my browser and then when I go to BB, I'm not logged in anymore, so I guess that was the cookie AVG was talking about. It's annoying, because apart from having to log in everytime I also have to change the skin, because the default season 8 one I find a bit annoying.
The cookie AVG says is dangerous has a very long and unclear name, so I'm not entirely sure whether it's the one associated to the remember me thing, so it might also be something else. I'm confused.

I know it's not really a BB thing (I think), so I wasn't sure where to post it, but I guessed that since it does concern BB cookies this was the right place, but feel free to move it 😉

I use AVG free, but it's never said anything.
I would go into your internet preferences and delete all your cookies and then sign back in and click remember me and see what happens.

AVG shouldn't get their panties in a bunch over the BB cookies. Mine's always been VERY nice about it. .

Damm Lou, you beat me to it! And 69, Lindsey, is a fine number!
Pretty sure it's not a BB problem since I use AVG and have never had a problem logging on here. Maybe you could try running a full AVG scan and see if anything comes up. It may take some time.

Selig, you need to stop posting. You're almost at 100 already. It's not on. Plus *snigger* you're at 69.
I had a similar problem once recently, and it turned out to be a virus disguised as a warning. What I finally wound up doing was to have AVG run a complete scan of my entire system (I did it in "safe" mode, though I'm not sure that helped at all). Once the virus was located and eliminated, there were no more problems, for which I am very happy, because that is about the total of my computer knowledge. Anything worse, and it would have been another trip to the shop.

Okay, I think I got it now. I'm gonna do the full scan anyway. I checked it again, and it had something to do with firefox. I think it started happening since the latest FF update so I guess something's wrong there.
Anyway, (one) problem solved, case closed?
