Remember the Volcano on Tongan island?

The volcano destroyed the island on January 15th, the island was about 6 km long, it has now gone,
only 4 or so miniature islands remain at the ends of what was.
Many parts of the island which was up to 100 meters high cannot be seen anymore, equipment that can see 300 meters below sea level cannot see parts of the island.

Thanks for the update. This event had completely slipped my mind, as well as, apparently, the US news organizations. (So many disasters, so little attention span.) Fortunately, those islands were uninhabited, though I suppose Tonga in general is still suffering the effects of ashfall.
