So who's excited about the movie version of this awesome musical? I personally cannot wait, I mean, the soundtrack is utterly amazing. Rosario Dawson and Idina Menzel are perfectly PERFECT. I'll be there opening night, fo' sho'.

I went to see it on Broadway for the first time in August and absolutely loved it, it will be interesting to see how it survives in film version

I saw a UK stage production and fell in love with it...seen it 12 times.....so i'm really looking forward to teh Big Screen....just hope no one minds me singing along in the cinema!!!!

I'm in awe that the musical is having a pretty impressive revival. Both Rent and The Producers this winter, and then SMG and The Rock in the movie Southland Tales later next year. Craziness!

I'm looking forward to Rent. I don't love the music from Rent as much as I do the soundtracks from some other musicals ("Avenue Q" rules), but I give Hollywood props every time they have the cojones to fund a major movie musical (especially one about happy things like AIDS).
