How many points a single negative reputation can take? How many points a single positive can add?

BTW, with 400 points or more, is it possible to be not affected by positive or negative reputations?

You will always be affected by Karma, both positive and negative, no matter what your karma is. And the more points of karma a poster has..the larger amount of karma (per rep) they will give someone.

Also Moderators and Admins give higher amounts of karma per rep I believe.

Then so say if I give a positive karma to a mod or admin, it should be less than they would have given me, is it?

I think you are on the right track DDLM. The amount of karma one person has reflects the amount of karma they can give. For instance, DDLM gave karma to The Blue. DDLM has karma that equals six green gems, and thus gave six karma points.

When I gave karma, it gave ten points. Proably because I'm a mod. It might vary from mod to mod.

You never become immune to negative karma. It's always there, and takes one point off I think.

There are many factors that contribute to how many points you give or take. Such as how long you've been a member, how much reputation you have, whether you're a mod, etc.

That would explain the karma pionts i have cos i thought that if you added 1karma it was just equal to 1 point on your rep...

This is the first time i've come accross reputations in a forum so it 's all new to me too!

Really, you're new? Here, have some more Karma to get you going better. :) You were 41.
Okat, one other questing regarding karma, I guess my karma doesn't work, today it said I have 1 new reputation point and when I looked there were no new comments or any new entrance (without comment), why is that?

Wait so if someone disagrees with you it takes karma? That kind of sucks but oh well...we'll deal.

I don't think it would be fair to use the disaprove cos you don't agree with someone it sounds petty if i don't agree i say so without using the disaprove thing and anycase it is far more constructive to use the agree thingy.
