I was always fascinated by 'Restless' I love watching it. I thought we could start a thread analyzing the episode in detail, becuase there are so many hidden clues and meanings in it, i thought this would be fun!

It was odd when Buffy said to Xander, "way ahead of you big brother." I am still trying to figure that out.

Well I thought that was ineresting becuase Xander is baffled by the fact that she calls him Big Brother. He stands and stares at her for ages. I was thinking though, in Xanders dream he seems to be involved in the army/initiative kind of thing. In 'Out Of My Mind' Dawn talks about the Government/Initiative and comments that it could be something like Big Brother. The way ahead of you is to do with Xander, feeling left behind, everyone has gone off to college and hes left in the basement. Other than that, I can only say that she might say Big Brother is that he seems to looking out for Buffy and the others.

'Big Brother' i think ties in now with the speech he just made to dawnie in conversations with dead people
where hes like i see everything, like big brother sorta i was rthinking
ok it sounded like a cooler link in my head

This is why some thoughts should just stay in your head.
*mummmm willow with no clothes* oh crap that should of stayed in my head.

*sigh*
fine ill just be quiet forever
meanwhile i dont understand the cheeseman he confuses me

ive got no idea
was he symbolic of the ridiculousness of the situaton?
maybe he was just there so we knew it was weirdo dream sequence time or something?

The point of the Cheeseman was to give a reality sense to the dream. Becuase theres always a dream you have, and wake up thinking, what the hell was that? or why the hell was/he/she there? He was meant to be there to confuse us

Joss said that he really didn't mean anything, he just ressembled what bullshsss dream sometimes can be!

what do you think Joyce being in the wall meant? Some say it was becuase of her dying, but im not 100% sure

right their with you! this epi is out standing. the first time i watched this epi i wasn't to impressed. but the second time i saw it i was like WOW! so joice in the wall er... could sybolise her death. any one notitice the cheese man in jhonothan and Andrews dream in 'Storyteller'? he could be the true form of the first evil! i would be pretty disapointed it he was. if we do ever see the true form of the first evil i want it to be the scareyest thing ive ever seen! im not into spoilers so you dont need to post anything up for me.

I noticed the cheeseman in storyteller too. It was weird I have been trying to figure out what he means cause if he was in andrew and jonathon's dream then it is a clue that it means something.
