Restless

nope it doesnt mean anything..........like someone said up there....joss just did it for the fun of it....not to mean anything...and yeah....he said joyce in the wall foreshadowed her death to come.....i wish they would do other foreshadowing.....maybe since they cant do it now...they should do it in angel

I noticed. Dont know whether yous did, but the First Slayer ripped out Xanders heart (what he was in creating the super Buffy) she stabbed Willow in the chest (she was the spirit) and cut Giles head, (he was the mind) did anyone notice this?

Wow, good observation. Why do you think that was? was it a show of approval, or disapproval by TFS?

And, I thought of why Joyce might have been in the wall.
In know its from the past. But in season 2's 'school hard' Buffy talks to Joyce threw the wall.

yeh thats whatn i thought it was also what was with the whole buffy and faith making the bed and the whole "little miss muffet counting down to 730? " i know that taras b back before dawn was a reference to the intro of dawn in season 5 ne1 else have any thing to say on this epp?

The 730 thing is exactly the number of days from Restless to Th Gift or the introduction to Dawn (sorry, I really cant remeber!) and also I noticed that when Tara is talking to Buffy in her room, its 7:30 on the clock (two refrences to 7-3-0)

730 days equals 2 years... 2 years after graduation day part 2, the sings aling for dawn's key thing and buffy dies

There are spoilers for seasons 1-7 in my post!!!!

There's endless hidden meanings in Restless. I'm still new here, so I'm not sure how much of these meanings everyone has caught, so here's a few off the top of my head:

1.) Tara: "Be back before Dawn"
2.) Many people wear red in this episode, which imbodies death I believe, like Tara and Joyce.
3.) Kitty Fantastico lunges toward the camera the same way the tiger does in the desert in season 5. Very primal.
4.) The big brother comment from Buffy is just simply that she thinks of him as a brother, and that's not exactly what Xander wanted from her. He loved her early on.
5.) Anya driving the icecream truck with the sway of her hands and not touching the wheel is forshadowing of her terrible driving skills, shown off in season 5s "Triangle".
6.) Buffy: "We're not demons" Adam: "Is that a fact?" This year we got incite on the issue, and in fact the first slayer was infused with a demon, or raped in a way.
7.) Willow fears people will see the truth of who she really is, and is stripped of her clothing, only to unveil her outfit from the first episode of season 1, "Welcome to the Hellmouth".
8.) In the graveyard there's many lawn gnomes, and in season 6 Warren uses lawn gnomes to spy on Buffy and her friends with cameras built in them.
9.) Buffy finds a bag with sand in it. Principal Wood gives that same bag to Buffy in "Get it Done" year 7, and it brings her through time into the desert.
10.) "I'm very seldom naughty", Willow exclaims. Obviously she flips out season 6.
11.) Harmony and Reily talk together while Buffy sits on the side of the stage in the play. This forshadows Reily hooking up with a vampire girl in season 5. At the end of the play Buffy's yelling at Reily while Harmony is on the sides crying, sort of like in "Into the Woods".
12.) This one might be a stretch: Giles kneels forward with his pocket watch as if he's waiting for something. The First Slayer sneaks up behind him. In season 7 in "Sleeper", Giles kneels forward talking to Robsin who states "it's started", or the time has come, while a bringer sneaks up behind him. Not sure if that's really a connection.
13.) This might be a stretch too, but Willow peers out her window and senses danger or something along those lines while talking to Tara. In season 6, Warren shoots a stray bullet through Willow and Tara's bedroom window and kills Tara.
14.) The obvious 7:30 on the clock.
15.) Anya tells Buffy she needs to wake up. This happens in season 5 when Buffy goes into a catatonic state and Willow tells her she needs to wake up. In season 7, Joyce also tells Buffy she needs to wake up.
16.) Tara: "You think you know, who you are, what's to come...you haven't even begun". Dracula states the same phrase to Buffy in the 5th year.
17.) Buffy peers into a empty room at the end of the episode, which becomes Dawns room I believe.

There's many more, much more, but I figure the ones I wrote are already well known around here..I mean this is a Buffy fan forum.....

lots of weirdness in this episode.... i find it funny when xander goes to the bathroom and all those doctors are watching him and taking notes,lol...

The Buffy and Faith making the bed starts in the episode This Years Girl were Faith says 'Little sis coming. I know' and Buffy answers 'So much to do before she gets here.' Then ot continues in Restless were Buffy and Tara talk. It's interesting coz in This Years Girl it's Faiths dream and in Restless its Buffys dream. Is this a shared dream or are both slayers being warned about the Key?

I noticed that too. I thought it was interesting. I think they both have the same dream though cause they are slayers, and they get prophecies. This one was about the key. I thought this was interesting: In an interview w/ Joss he said that when they were shooting the episode "Restless" Michelle Trachtenberg came to visit the set. He thought it was fate cause she didn't have the part yet, but it was the first episode with a reference to Dawn.
