This book is written by Ray Garton and is set in season 3. in my opinion its not very true to the characters, but you can tell the writer has tried: the Xander/Cordy relationship tries to capture the banter they had in season 2 but it just comes off as petty and mean and Willow's concern about the cows is similar to her reaction to the Indians in the episode Pangs but it just comes off as very unbelievable. There's a guest appearance from Ethan Rayne which is a bit anti climactic.
My pet peeve is that Buffy swears at one point when she runs out of stakes, which isnt like her. Also Willow and Joyce both call Buffy 'Buff' which isnt like them either.
The storyline is ok but there's not enough Angel in it for my liking 🙂
