Retro Banners

Does anyone have any banners from the old days. I'm thinking like banners you probably won't use again, but they take you back to the glory days when the shows were still running.

Wanna post them just for nostalgia's sake.

Like here's one EDB made for me back when the Angel episode Smile Time came out, and we were all growling at the WB, because the news broke they were going to Cancel the show.

Oh, and here's one an old member named Vampirisha made for me when I first discovered Fray.

I could only find banners I made during Angel s5, so they're not THAT retro, but oh well:

Oh my god, what a horrible banner! Not in terms on content, it just looks... aweful.

Well this doesn't look much better.

I used to make screencaps of Harmony's appearances in s5 and make a new banner with her pictures from the latest episode for a while. I could only find this one though.

Based on the whole Angel s5 promotional posters which had Angel and Spike written on them, but instead with Blondie added to it.

i didn't have the internet when Buffy was still on the air, i got here round about the time Angel was cancelled, but this was the first banner i ever had on this site...made by the FANTABULOS, Kalyee Frye...

i still love it completely, two years later, which is why i still have it! 😀

I will have to see if I have any early banners saved to disc somewhere - I'm sure I do have, but I cringe to think how bad they'll be 'lol'

Well, you did ask, and yes, they were as bad if not worse than I thought they'd be! 'lol' 😉 The rest of them I uploaded here if you wanna look at them.

I think most of these I made for other members at the time. 🙂

The Illyria one is a real eye catcher. I knew I'd seen it before. Your page says you made it for Lee. I remember Lee. He was the funny guy who loved his Anya right? Wonder whatever happened to him.

Wow, even back then your work was fantastic. I remember a lot of these. And yeah, I also remember some of the old members that used to go with the banners 😉 Lee was indeed one of the Anya-tribe. There used to be a lot of male Anya-fans around that time. They always seem to come in phases. Just like when I joined Fall 2003, there were all these female Oz fans.

Wow i remember when all these banners had made their first debuts on the board... such a long time ago it seems...

Oh and for the record those wondering about Lee. Last i heard he was doing good... Just not into Buffy anymore really... infact he's changed alot... but he's still a good guy, next time i talk to him i'll tell him Buffy boards say hi lol
