Return Of The Fang Gang

Do you think that we will ever see Angel's old team, or what's left of them, reunite any time(the whole gang, together, not single characters making guest appearances) not in the future? If so, would you favor any or all of the new members as introduced in the IDE series? (Primarily Connor, Kate, Nina, and Illyria, since any new characters created by IDE probably wouldn't be available to Dark Horse)

Although I've given up on the comics, seeing the Fang Gang back together might be incentive enough to get me to read them again (emphasis on "might"😛). At this stage of the game, I think they are the vastly more interesting group with more untapped story potential. I have no idea why Joss and the Dark Horse team have been putting off on using them for so long. What's the point of getting the Angel license back if you're barely gonna use his supporting cast?😕

I wouldn't mind the IDW characters being re-introduced into canon, unlikely though it may be. Beta George, Eddie Hope, James and the rest seemed like pretty cool characters even if the stories they were in were less than great. But Nina, Kate, Illyria and the rest actually are available, so we should definitely see them.

I'm very behind on the comics, I haven't gotten to S9 or A&F yet, so I don't know what exactly is happening right now, but as someone who has read comics consistently since childhood, I can almost unequivocally say yes, this will happen again at some point in time.

Angel has been taken in some very different directions since "After the Fall", but sooner or later some writer will pick up the title and want to bring the group back together. It works creatively, the reunion element. We might see some new characters or unique takes on old ones (like Ghost-Wes) but at some stage they'll be back. If there's one constant thread throughout comics, it is that the things that do the best will always come back at some point.

You bet your ass that if ever there is an AtF #2 type comic with the whole gang, I'll be the first to buy it. If ever they keep making comics out of this franchise, which I hope they do, then I'm sure some of the gang will come back at some point. That's the great thing about this medium, anything is possible.
