So Dominos Pizza just brought back the Noid...
but what's even more surprising and what I did not know is why the Noid left in the first place. I thought it was just a fad that ran its time, but no, there's a whole story behind it:
"Domino’s dropped the Noid mascot after a 1989 incident in which a mentally ill man named Kenneth Lamar Noid took two Domino’s employees hostage because he felt the commercials were personally mocking him. Kenneth Noid forced the two employees to make him an “ExtravaganZZa” pizza, which, according to the Washington Post, featured 'four kinds of meat, several vegetables and extra mozzarella' during the standoff."
Guess those Domino employees learnt the hard way how to avoid the Noid.
