The poll has villain/character lumped together and every other character on the poll was, at one point in the story, a villain.

At least in the comics, they explained that he was already a powerful sorcerer when he was turned and he uses glamour spells to hide his true appearance. In reality he looks like a very aged, thin, hunched over man with a long white beard. When Buffy kept staking him in season 5, she was actually missing the heart by several inches each time and Drac was using magic to make a show of being dusted.

Clem was quite mean/insulting to Buffy during their first meeting over kitten Poker; being mean to the protagonist and wantonly eating cute kittens is villain adjacent.

Plus he was with Spike when he crashed Buffy's birthday without an invite. Jerk move.

- Harmony might be fun, as long as she finally gets staked trying to do some evil.
- If Anya is ever going to come back (personally hope she doesn't cuz I can't stand her...) then D'Hoffryn should return to foreshadow it. Plus the Newbs battling a vengeance demon has some potential.
- Don't try a musical episode until, at least, the 3rd or 4th season, so no to Sweet until then.


- I would ad to it and say Ethan Rayne would be a strong contender but alas that wouldn't be possible unless they recast the part.

To be fair to Clem, Buffy introduced herself by stumbling drunkenly into the room and loudly calling everyone in it (including Clem) a lowlife. He did insult Buffy's tight skin, which was rude, but it seemed like he said it more to piss off Spike and not hurt Buffy (who didn't react). Buffy and Clem didn't actually exchange words directly either way.

I won’t even lie, I want mantis lady back because that episode is so iconic for being so idiotic. It would be a fun callback to the goofier one offs.

Harm, Faith, etc seem like must includes to me at least on a cameo level. I think Eliza quit acting though, so who knows.

Let's be clear about this, Eliza is a trophy wife, the professional aspirations are admirable, but she's probably still in "Faith Shape" and could return if she wanted to. While Never Say Never, she could return as a personal favor, she's probably not going to, and if she does, it's probably going to be a cameo.

Of course, you could recast her with Krysten Ritter and get the same basic effect.

Let's be clear about this, Eliza is a trophy wife, the professional aspirations are admirable, but she's probably still in "Faith Shape" and could return if she wanted to. While Never Say Never, she could return as a personal favor, she's probably not going to, and if she does, it's probably going to be a cameo.

I would like a new, dark slayer ala Faith rather than recast the character of Faith herself.

I hope she would come out of retirement for the right story but she never goes to conventions or anything and I can't blame her for evolving past being an actor. I have huge respect for her going back to school, reinventing herself and doing meaningful work-not that entertainment business isn't meaningful and artful, but helping people with therapy is more admirable of her. It is especially admirable of Eliza when she was rich on her own, didn't have to ever work again (let alone challenging therapy work) and definitely didn't need to be anyone's "trophy wife".

Yes, Eliza does have a healthy attitude about the entertainment industry, she got out of it what she wanted, was selective in her projects, left bad situations she didn't want to be in, left the industry while she was still young, married a billionaire (with nine zeroes) and went back to school to do something useful with the rest of her life. It's all very lapsed Mormon of her. They are like honeybees, after all.

But, and what I am really getting at, it's going to take an awful lot to get her back on a soundstage. The example I would look at is Jolene Blalock, (Enterprise: T'Pol) who also married rich, and was able to tell acting to (expletive deleted) off. She has been very difficult to get for any Star Trek project for the last twenty years, as she didn't have a very good experience with the production of the show, although that has thawed over the last few years.

This isn't intended to be a slam on the actresses. My point is, She's not coming back unless she really wants to, under circumstances she dictates.

The idea of praying mantis lady tickles me, but though effects have gotten better, I feel that at least the season one budget should be spent on better things than trying to make a better giant bug than was possible in the 90s

I'd like to see Marcie Ross and Drusilla. I would say Faith but I don't want her to return as a villain so I didn't check that box.

I've always thought Krysten Ritter would make a great Faith!

Only problem with K.R. is that she looks like she will fall over if you hit her too hard. But, I didn't see A.k.a Jessica Jones, so maybe she doesn't?

Not to mention, unless the eggs are a completely different species, they too ought to be giant bugs, so yeah, there will have to be giant bug effects to tie it to the original plot

Not to mention, unless the eggs are a completely different species, they too ought to be giant bugs, so yeah, there will have to be giant bug effects to tie it to the original plot

Although the first time the school was blown up was over two years later, so it isn't completely improbable for the eggs to have hatched by then.

but there has to be more of this species out there... not about it being the original eggs from 'Miss.French' but it was left so open ended just like the swim team gill men/monsters in 'Go Fish' who yes, I'd love to see return; could be very scary to have those creatures (like from the black lagoon) out there in some tropical waters and a nice callback.
