solid follow-up to "The Trial" with another great ending.

Ummmmmmmmm the Wine Cellar situation, to quote Chris Rock...

I'm not sayin it was right, but I understand why you did it Angel.

The look on Cordy, Gunn and Wesley's faces when he fired them...PRICELESS!!!

Yeah, I loved what he did at the Wine Cellar. I've always really disliked human bad guys in the show because no matter what they do, the hero is always like "well, I know that they killed blah, blah, blah, tried to kill me, and will most likely kill/ rape many others, but it just isn't right!!". Soo annoying. I always scream 'just kill them already before they kill you idiot!' but that's just me. 🙂 Besides, it was hilarious and W&H definitely deserved it. Also, gotta love it when Angel said "no, I walked to my car then I drove away." Amazing. 😀

Did anyone else notice how completely gorgeous Dru looked in this epi, especially at the beginning before Darla came back? Dru has always been pretty, but there's something about her that makes her slightly unattractive, IMO. But she was stunning in that episode.

Darsilla was very cute, I liked how they attacked in the wine cellar and when they were shopping. Very adorable. 🙂

Drusilla looked awesome in her red dress. I couldn't take my eyes off her.
REUNION

The Good;
Darla and Dru make quite a pair whilst Angel does his Batman routine. Some nice humour from Lilah and like the way Angel is so consumed by his quest that he tries to ignore his mission sent by the PTBs. And the shock ending is a kick in head.

The Bad;
Why does Lilah want to hear police sirens, what are the LAPD going to do against Dru and Darla? Shouldn't Angel have saved Holland's wife at least?

Best line:
Lilah (to Lindsey, indicating dead Darla) "Think you got a shot with her now?" Why we love Lilah even though she's a total bitch.

Jeez, how did they get away with that?
The scene in the shop with the murdered staff is horrifying

Gunn comments that he's freaked out by the whole incest vibe of the grandaughter remaking the grandmother (as he was with his vamped sister). Dru wants Angel to 'Spank us til Tuesday, we promise to be bad if you do'!!!!!!

Captain Subtext;
Loved to have seen the Dru/neighbour scene. Once again Dru seems a very unusual vamp in some regards, more human than most. Dru appreciates Lilah's beauty. All of the Darla/Dru stuff

Like the way it's Gunn who figures out the whole nursery angle, once again showing his brains. Weird seeing Darla in her shroud. Kate and Angel seem a team once more.

I thought this was a classic Angel ep. Seeing him going dark, like a new part of his character somewhere between Angel and Angelus. It's got Darla, Dru, bad Angel and lawyers. I looooove season 2.

My face during the wine cellar scene: 😱

I mean, the Wolfram and Hart people sorta got what they were asking for...Still, I was not expecting that.

I was really glad he did it. They were evil. It really annoys me when they say they can't kill humans even if they're killers. Why can they kill demons who kill? It's strange considering how much they try to humanise a lot of the demons.

I wonder how they'd feel if Lorne went evil. Would they kill him or try to help him?

^^agreed. Plus, i honestly dont think they would kill Lorne if he turned. At least not before they tried helping any way they could.

The humanizing of demons & demonizing of humans is, imo, the writers way of looking at the age-old issue of whether people are born evil, or just evil under certain conditions.

Like how this is playing out but it's still very disturbing to see ensouled Angel being so... heartless?

I would say he shows more heart there than usual, he's not just some apple-pie comic book good guy. He wanted to show W&H that they could push him too far.

Well maybe they feel there the justice system for demons, etc...while usually they leave human authorities to handle humans

That's interesting you say that, 'cause I was watching The Shroud of Rahmon earlier & I got to thinking when the cops are just about to arrest Wes for the brutal decapitation of the security guard, "Yeah, I would love to see that one tried in court!" For the most part the human baddies in the whedonverse could not effectively be tried in a human court & some sort of supernatural authority would be required for them to ever face any sort of justice for their crimes(see the eventual fate of Ethan Rayne for reference). For that reason we would have to accept that they are subject to the same sort of "street justice" as demons/vampires etc.

Amazing, amazing, amazing episode. Can't get enough of Darla and Drusila together and watching Wolfram and Hart lawyers getting their just desserts is very satisfying... A brilliant turn and wonderful ending.

When I was watching this episode I was so into it. Love it and I felt bad for the humans like Holland because I enjoyed seeing him as a character but the storyline was good. Yes when he fired them I think my face was just as shocked as them.

When Angel closes those doors and walks up the stairs that scene is just amazing for this episode how it was done. Drusilla and Darla were good as well.

Ok, I love Drusilla and Darla together, really fun to watch BUT when I watched it and Angel let those people get killed I said: WHAT?. I know they're evil and I often get annoyed when evil people don't get killed because they're humans but Angel doing that left me a little speechless. I'm wondering how Buffy would react if she knew.

Stunning episode.
Watched it today again.
Dru & Darla at shopping...priceless...
