Did a back to back rewatch of both episodes and loved both. Seriously I know some don't watch Angel but even if you don't at least watch this episode as both work and designed to work perfectly together.
Its called a Crossover but its less that and more telling the same story from different POV's . In this case Spike and Angel during the Boxer Rebellion
From Spike's pov he thinks Angel is jealous of him for killing a Slayer but from Angel's pov in Darla, we see due to his soul that he's appalled by what Spike has done.
It's also highlighted as Spike is literally leaping in the air in joy and Angel is grimly walking on the ground.
Though Iv never understood how Spike could think that every Slayer has a death wish from those 2 encounters ? Unless it was to cover the fact Spike has gotten beaten up regularly on the show but yet has killed 2 Slayers, to make that make sense
