Rewatching S4 "Harsh Light of Day"

Spike and Harmony..Ummmmmm yeah, that's going to last

:insert sarcasm:

Parker=P-I-G!

hated how weepy and mopey Buffy acted when he gave her the brush off. Where's your self-esteem and pride girl?

Then asking Willow could they work it out, Huh?

Don't care much for Anya, but felt bad for her when Xander gave the brush off.

mediocre episode overall, despite having Spike in it.

I love the fight scene at the end of this episode between Spike and Buffy. Buffy is getting her butt kicked and then Spike makes a comment about Angel and she totally kicks his ass lol I agree about the shot at the end being really good, of all 3 girls walking round on their own, it was a shame that they were the ones that got hurt the most emotionally 🙁

This was just such an amazing episode(combined with In the Dark) Spikes big comeback. Loved every scene with Xander and Anya he was so funny with his little carton of juice 🙂 i think this is one of my poss top ten eps, it was the first one i ever saw. Its what made me a buffy addict

Currently watching the 1st season of Angel, viewed the crossover eppy " In the Dark" earlier.

quite good, Spike was hilarious.

Im watching this episode now, and yes okay Harmony is annoying but she cannot really help it, she as brought up as a rich snob so she is still gonna be a bit of a snob as a vampire and think she can get everything she wants.
Also although Harmony is annoying i think she is quite a funny character, plus she is wearing a bright pink top in this episode when they find the gem of amara, how many vampires wear bright pink? lol

Agree with ya that S4's Spike is hottest. He's not too skinny like in s6 or too pale like in s2. But have anyone agree with me that his t-shirt is too old? Especially the colar?

And poor Harmony, but well, she smiles when he's angry. She liked it rough!

p.s. I HATE PARKER.

anya acted more human when she was a demon than when she was human. I think they ruined her. I also think Harmoney Rules...LUV YA BITCH SMOOCHES! Also Buffy was a cry baby all through s4 and she was also really weak and just too out of character. Parker I don't hate he was a guy thinking about lots of sex I mean yeah its wrong and all but hey he is just a guy who wants sex.

See, I think Anya as a human is totally convincing.
I have a cousin who grew up in Saudi Arabia, while having an American mother and visiting America once a year...and when she visits, it's amazing how similar she can act to Anya. She'll say things and they get lost in translation, she seems to forget that everyone here speaks English, not Arabic, and that when she's talking about someone they can hear and understand her..I think they did a really good job with Anya, who was always a little slow on the uptake (as we see in "Selfless" back when she was Aud).

And um, sorry, but I don't think "he is just a guy who wants sex" is a good enough excuse for what he did. There are plenty of girls who just want sex as well, he could have found one of them. What he does--tricking otherwise not-one-night-standy girls to sleep with him by pretending to be sensitive--IS wrong. I agree that Buffy gets carried away moping about it, but I've come to understand her POV more...the only other guy she'd slept with turned evil and started trying to kill her friends after the deed. Her sexual confidence was way low. And then this happens. I can't really blame Buffy anymore for reacting this way, as annoying as it is to watch.

Saw HLOD yesterday. Until I get to the "Spike is hot" part:

Xander: I don't get your crazy system.
Giles: My system? It's the alphabet.
and then Anya's big entrance: I need to talk to Xander. Go away.

The 'Go away' line makes me laugh every time. Emma is brilliant.

When Buffy tells Parker that she was bit by an angry puppy I start thinking about Spike's monologue "But now I'm just a big fluffy puppy".

They took out some great lines from the original script:
BUFFY:Yeah, Spike. With Harmony, if you can believe it. I mean, I thought Spike and Dru were a forever kind of deal, didn't you? Where's the commitment?
GILES(get on with it) I'm disillusioned. I shall never love again.

And also they toned down the Spike/Harmony love scene. Originally, Spike was supposed to lick Harmony's veins, but we get instead the panther crawl. (Mercedes was cca 17)

What's with the men and power tools? I like Spike's baggy tee shirt better than the later tight ones (maybe property of JM) Oh, the one and only appearance of the black boxers came with the "I love syphilis more than you" line.

Fighting with Spike definitely gets Buffy hot.

I like Harmony. Maybe not so much in Buffy (where yes, she definitely was annoying; I mean, all of those pet names for Spike? Jeez!) but definitely in Angel.
