He might not be at the top of his populaity but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have fans.
It could be that but it doesn't have to. If he'd done it when he's incredibly popular he might have to wait a while. But at the same time if he did it like that people could still call it a publicity stunt. He obviously still got a "name". Otherwise this wouldn't be news. He posted it on his website. We made it news. Or did I miss something and he had a press conference?
Cry for attention or finally having the courage to openly admit it? I guess we'll never know. Might be a mix. 😉

I remember being a kid and me and my sis would guess who was gay in the pop music industry, we got most of them down right. Good for him though, I really don't think he'll be viewed differently.

I just think it's kinda sad looking back & watching some of his music videos where he is covered with girls. It makes me wonder didn't he feel ashamed or like a fraud?? I just don't get how artists can do that. This makes me love Adam Lambert even more because he was always up front about his sexuality & would never let anyone force him to hide who he is.
I adore Adam but in his video he has girls all over him a not small proportion of the time.
I don't think we should hold stars to ransom over stuff like that. I mean look at Ellen, she dated men in real life and on her show, but when she was ready to come out she did and was destroyed by the media for it. But in that she blazed a path for millions of people and I really think people like TR Knight, Neil Patrick Harris and even Mr. Martin here owe alot to her because she took some heavy blows. I don't think Martin, Lambert or anyone for that matter could be described as living a lie by having girls in their videos. Or I suppose I don't feel they are betraying who they are. Even just watching Ellen on Idol, she totally flirts with Simon and Ryan every week lol

I completely get what you're saying. But Adam having girls in his video is just him expressing sexuality in general since that is what the song is about. He's still made it completely clear that he's 100% gay where as Ricky pretty much pretended to be straight because people wanted him to. I'm not saying that makes him a bad person or anything, I just think it's sad that celebrities are so pressured to the point where they can't be themselves. I just meant that I admire people like Adam more when they can just be themselves & have that much courage & not apologize for who they are or what they do regarding their sexuality.
