Sometimes demons and monsters on the show seem kinda ridiculous. Of course they are there as a metaphore for our real life demons, but sometimes they're just silly looking. That might be one of the reasons people ask you why you watch that *stupid* show. They might get the wrong impression about the show. They might be right, those customs are ridiculous. Some are fine, but others are really silly looking.

So which demons/monsters on the show did you find the most ridiculous ones?

Te me it has to be the old lady from Doublemeat Palace and her "snake", AND the demon Buffy, Riley and Sam were chasing in "As You Were".

Malcolm.

WTF was he on about?

I get that it's the first season though. 😛 Just getting off their feet, I suppose. If they'd done a metaphor for predators on the Internet in the later seasons, it could've been good.

Personally, I don't find any of them to be more or less ridiculous. I mean why would you be willing to believe that one made-up thing is more real than another made-up thing. They are both made-up. If you really analyze them, they are all silly. Doesn't make me love the show any less.

Tbh, I think Clem and the Loan Shark were supposed to look ridiculous, while others, like that awful snake from S5 Mr Giles mentioned (some of the worst CGI I've ever seen. And I watch Merlin!), were unintentionally ridiculous.

Lmao! I also thought of the Loan Shark! But I guess it was done on purpose.

I'd probably have to say the most ridiculous to me were the demon Riley and Buffy chase in 'As You Were' and the one who's drinking a soda in 'That Old Gang of Mine' and get killed by Gunn's friends. They looked soooo fake. Unbelievable, lol.

On the other hand... Skip was amazingly done. 🙂

I was thinking of the soda demon as well!! he's my favourite though, I found him absolutely adorable :D
Argh - Totally the Loan Shark. Looked like something out of a childrens show and it didn't fit Season 6 at all. Seemed like something from Season 1 or early 2.

What about that guy who broke off his knuckle so Anya and Giles could go see Bejox's Eye (or however you spell it)?
