Rihanna takes Chris Brown Back? Surely Not?

The more I think about it, the stupider it seems to me. It's not only bad for her to be with an abusive guy, but she should also think about her fans. Many Rihanna fans are teenage girls, and this makes such a wrong example..

Yeah I totally understand that, but for women like that, the right choice isn't exactly the way that they are thinking. I agree that it's stupid, and I personally hate Rihanna, but nobody should blame her or call HER stupid.

The problem there is that when people are giving their opinion, they are giving it from their perspective IF they were in the same situation HOWEVER, they don't take into account the relationship built up over time and just assume that they would be in the same exact frame of mind as they are now.

Well Exactly. Obviously I haven't been in a relationship like that but I've seen people go through it and it just bugs me when people call the person stupid for it.

But she is being stupid. It doesn't matter if abused women do have a tendency to go back to their abusers. It's the wrong decision.

But it doesn't make her stupid! Maybe it is the wrong decision but she's not stupid for doing it. It's not really fair for any of us to make assumptions on it because none of us really know, but if we are putting it in this way then I think that is such a rude and unlogical comment.

(we all know I'm full of logic)

Saying she is stupid is implying her decision is an intellectual one. I don't believe it is, I think if Rihanna has indeed gone back to Chris Brown it is a decision made based on emotions. Intellectually anyone with half a brain will tell you it is the wrong decision but the heart overrules the mind...which isn't always a good thing, as this situation proves.

It saddens me if this is true its that all to familiar pattern of girls defending there attackers saying he didnt mean it he loves me and so on theres never any excuse for violence in anyway so if she took him back after this shes only herself to blame she needs a bit of self confidence to know that this isnt good.

Oh, I'm sure it's an emotional decision. Things like this are always based on emotion. Someone in her entourage should tell her she's being silly, however. But I guess, they're all afraid of being kicked out or something

It doesn't matter though, every person on this planet could tell her she is acting rashly but until she comes to that realisation herself all those protests will fall on deaf ears.

I'll definitely agree, though I'd call it a gut decision, not one made by the heart.

And even though my belly is much larger than either my heart or brain *cough*, I've learned to deeply mistrust it in decision making. I know I could (and have) match Rihanna in stupidity when I allow emotions to dictate my social/relations behavior... and I don't mind calling it stupidity, even if it's psychologically understandable stupidity.
