Riley and Faith

It's my tendency to over-examine stuff, so here I go again...

Riley knows that "the Slayer" exists since Buffy says she is one.
But until they met, "The Slayer" was always thought of as a myth. So when Faith comes around, why doesn't Buffy tell Riley who Faith is as opposed to saying Faith is some psycho girl running around with an agenda to kill the Buffster?

Up until a few weeks ago, the slayer never really existed in Riley's mind, so should he know the whole storyline behind there's only supposed to be just one at a time?
How much did Riley (and the rest of club commando) know about the slayer myth before meeting Buffy?

Well Forest says that he thinks it is a thing the demons think up to get all the little demons to eat their meals (Or something like that) But in The ep where Buffy tells Riley who Faith is, I did think she told him. She says to Willow that she told him everything but edited out all the Angel parts?
