Hey, I just saw that on Wikipedia (on the page for Buffy Season Eight)... I know it's not the greatest source in the universe, but I also found the info on several websites, sooo... And I haven't found anything about it here.

" "Riley" Between #35 and #36

A one-shot centered on Riley with the purpose of explaining a lot of the plot developments that have recently happened in "Season Eight" will be out in the break between #35 and #36. "

How do you feel about that ? It's due to come out in August, according to Scott Allie... But that would get #36 to come out in, like, September ? I don't think I'd like that !

It's written by Jane Espenson and pencilled by Karl Moline who will also draw a cover. Our Jo Chen will also draw one.

That may well be a one shot I will bother to buy. Melikes Riley.
They never really properly explained Riley's involvement, should be a good read.

Explanations are definitely in order, and the sooner the better, and I'm all in favor of having a special issue devoted to filling in both the information and the extended time between #35 and #36, even if it centers on a relatively minor character.

Yes, I think it can be a decent read, I'll definitely buy it, that's for sure... But will we really have to wait for September in order to get issue 36 ?!

I don't know if I'll read it, unless i hear it's REALLY interesting. Here's hoping for a Vi one shot though! lol

From MTV Splash Page:

Earlier this month, we brought you news of a very sexy issue of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight," but that doesn't mean the story's over when it comes to Buffy and the Slayers' climactic battle against Twilight and his armies.

Celebrated "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Battlestar Galactica" television writer Jane Espenson returns to the Dark Horse Comics series later this year for a new one-shot comic exploring what happened to Riley Finn, Buffy's former love interest who spied on Twilight for the Slayers.

The issue, which arrives on shelves August 18, will be written by Espenson with interior art and a cover by Karl Moline. Dark Horse has provided Splash Page readers with an exclusive first look at the cover to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight — Riley One-Shot," as well as the official synopsis for the issue.

"What's become of him and his SUPERSPY wife"? Since when is Sam any sort of spy, super or otherwise? She was a Peace Corps worker who survived a demon attack and joined Riley's merry band of rogue demon slayers, U S Army version. Well, I always said that there was more to that girl than met the eye.

They actually offered Felicia Day the chance to write one, but she turned it down because she preferred to write "The Guild" miniseries instead. (Which is her own story rather than somebody else's.)

It would be really nice, though, if she could do a 2-3 page Vi-centric webcomic for the MySpace Dark Horse Presents thing. Maybe she's afraid Joss would tell her, "by the way, Vi has to die at the end." Felicia was always afraid Joss was going to kill her off during the TV series.

I'm interested to see what happened to Riley and Sam and how he re-connected with Buffy. I'm especially interested to see a different perspective on the rise of Twilight.

Looks interesting and i think i will get it. Hell it´s a 3 month break. I would read anything even a story about Andrew. Yeah i know i´m desperate.

Whats with the superspy? I always thought Sam was in the Peace Corp and joined the U.S. Army rogue demon hunter squad after demons killed her people?

I hope she is not dead. I know she showed up only once in the show but i really liked her.
